The U.S. Justice Department brought 14 charges of fraud against Lynch related to the deal, according to Business Insider.<\/p>\n<p>However, Lynch was acquitted by a jury in June.<\/p>\n<p>The fatal excursion was part of a celebration of that acquittal, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailymail.co.uk\/news\/article-13760285\/Bayesian-crew-member-bewildered-superyacht-sink-moored-seas-crossed-Atlantic.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Daily Mail<\/a> report that quoted a former Bayesian crew member being puzzled about how the vessel sank.<\/p>\n<p>The vessel was hit by a &ldquo;freak waterspout,&rdquo; the Daily Mail noted, but the crew member had seen it go through rough waters before.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It seems a bit strange,&rdquo; former Bayesian chief stewardess Monica Jensen told the publication. &ldquo;We have been in bad weather with it, crossed the Atlantic. It&rsquo;s been all over.
