But the administration&rsquo;s political party has implemented identification requirements for anyone who wants to attend the Democratic National Convention (DNC).<\/p>\n<p>Individuals seeking to get into the DNC must show proof of identity &ldquo;for security screening&rdquo; to pass through a security perimeter and physical barriers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsnationnow.com\/politics\/2024-election\/what-know-democratic-national-convention-chicago\/\">NewsNation<\/a> reported. In fact, Chicagoans who live in the &ldquo;areas around the United Center and McCormick Place&rdquo; where roads will be closed for the convention &ldquo;will still be able to go in and out of their homes&rdquo; but they are only &ldquo;allowed guests as long as those guests have photo ID.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-66401087f3c372255a9de17fee8ad265 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-66401087f3c372255a9de17fee8ad265\"><\/div>\n<p>This is all done under the guise of protecting attendees. &ldquo;Security&rdquo; is suddenly important to Democrats. So why not protect and secure our elections? <\/p>\n<p>Eighty-one percent of Americans <em>support<\/em> requiring voters to show a &ldquo;government-issued photo identification&rdquo; in order to cast a vote, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/politics\/2024\/02\/07\/bipartisan-support-for-early-in-person-voting-voter-id-election-day-national-holiday\/\">Pew Research<\/a> study. A 2022 <a href=\"https:\/\/news.gallup.com\/poll\/403052\/eight-americans-favor-early-voting-photo-laws.aspx\">Gallup poll<\/a> found 79% of Americans support requiring a voter to prove his identity.<\/p>\n[[<strong>READ NEXT: <\/strong><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/12\/not-a-single-democrat-witness-in-congress-agreed-only-citizens-should-vote-in-federal-elections\/\">Not A Single Democrat Witness In Congress Agreed Only Citizens Should Vote In Federal Elections<\/a>]\n<p>Yet Democrats have long challenged voter ID requirements, alleging such requirements are tantamount to racism, suppression, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/07\/19\/joe-biden-requiring-voter-id-is-bringing-back-the-civil-war\/\">Jim Crow<\/a> apartheid. But voter ID requirements serve the same purpose as security screenings at the DNC: they prevent ineligible persons from participating &mdash; think felons, illegal immigrants, non-citizens, teenagers, even dead people.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-073db7e80f5cc254c68ef920e83eb8b7 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-073db7e80f5cc254c68ef920e83eb8b7\"><\/div>\n<p>Presumptive Democratic nominee Kamala Harris understands the importance of securing an event so much so that, during a recently held event in Arizona, attendees were required to submit government-issued photo identification to be admitted, according to KTAR. Yet Harris panned identification requirements in an op-ed in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/opinions\/kamala-harris-womens-equality-day-19th-amendment\/2020\/08\/25\/7c268a82-e704-11ea-97e0-94d2e46e759b_story.html\">The Washington Post<\/a> four years ago, falsely accusing Republicans of &ldquo;deploying suppressive voter ID laws&rdquo; that are &ldquo;laser-targeted toward communities of color&hellip;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>President Joe Biden, while serving as vice president, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/joe-biden-sees-lingering-hatred-in-voter-id-laws\/\">accused<\/a> those who support voter ID laws of harboring &ldquo;hatred&rdquo; toward minorities. Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/ewarren\/status\/996500862494232578\">said<\/a> in a 2018 X post that voter ID laws are &ldquo;racist&rdquo; and amount to &ldquo;voter suppression.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Biden, Warren, and Harris have yet to release statements condemning the &ldquo;racist&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-passes-new-elections-bill-adding-restrictions-to-vote-by-mail-and-ballot-drop-boxes\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Florida Passes Voter Fraud Bill Requiring Signatures At All Dropboxes\">photo identification requirements<\/a> to enter the DNC.
