Harris has been criticized for changing her positions on key\u200b topics such as fracking, immigration, and healthcare, reflecting a desire to distance herself from her previous far<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-education-sec-on-womens-school-sports-we-have-a-legal-responsibility-to-include-transgender-athletes\/\" title=\"Biden Education Sec On Women\u2019s School Sports: We Have a \u2018Legal Responsibility\u2019 to Include Transgender Athletes\">-left stance<\/a> during her congressional tenure and in the \u200ccurrent administration.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&#8217;s choice of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz as her running mate has raised eyebrows, as he has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/how-newsom-is-using-the-desantis-debate-to-gear-up-for-2028\/\" title=\"Newsom leverages DeSantis debate to prep for 2028\">implemented progressive policies<\/a>\u200c that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/vice-media-lineup-to-amplify-trans-and-queer-voices-and-combat-climate-change\/\" title=\"Vice Media Lineup To Amplify \u2018Trans And Queer Voices\u2019 And Combat Climate Change\">include offering<\/a> various benefits to \u2064illegal immigrants and supporting social welfare \u2064initiatives. Both have \u200chistories that complicate their narratives, with Trump suggesting \u2063that \u2063Harris may \u2062need to mask her true beliefs to gain support.<\/p>\n<p>Axios reports that Harris plans to moderate her stances, claiming her experience in the White House has influenced her views. This strategic pivot may \u200cinclude adopting popular \u2063policies initially championed by Trump. Ultimately, the article \u2063suggests that Harris\u2019s campaign will struggle to reconcile her past with her present messaging, as she appears to \u2063be navigating a significant transformation \u2063in her political\u200d identity.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>In Donald Trump&rsquo;s return to X, he <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/realDonaldTrump\/status\/1823034723867713700\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> perhaps the pivotal question of the 2024 election: &ldquo;Are you better off now than you were when I was president?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps second only in importance to that question is this one: &ldquo;When it comes to your agenda, Vice President Kamala Harris, are you lying now, or were you lying then?&rdquo; It&rsquo;s a question Trump will likely have to pose to Harris himself, given the information war regime media are waging on her behalf, having coronated her as the Democrat nominee and formed a complete protective bubble around her in the weeks since.<\/p>\n<p>Harris &mdash; or more precisely Harris flacks, since they have been the ones addressing questions about her policy positions &mdash; has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/08\/14\/kamala-harris-economy-inflation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flip-flopped<\/a> on banning fracking, &ldquo;decriminalizing&rdquo; illegal immigration, and providing universal government health care. She seeks to unburden herself from what has been &mdash; namely serving as one of the most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-descend-into-twitter-war-with-amazon\/\" title=\"Democrats Descend into Twitter War With Amazon\">left-wing senators<\/a> during her tenure in the upper chamber, and then as No. 2 in arguably the most radically left-wing administration in American history.<\/p>\n<p>In picking Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz as her running mate too, she has seemed to embrace a kindred spirit. This is a man who has <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/08\/06\/us-news\/tim-walz-signed-laws-catering-to-illegal-migrants-giving-them-free-healthcare-tuition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">granted all manner of taxpayer benefits<\/a> to illegal aliens, who seeks to provide a <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/08\/06\/us-news\/tim-walz-previews-trump-border-wall-attack-ill-invest-in-the-30-foot-ladder-factory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ladder<\/a> to help fellow prospective &ldquo;newcomers&rdquo; catapult over any border wall. This is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/columnist-defends-walz-putting-tampons-boys-rooms-way-king-stud-guys-offer-them-girls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">supplier of tampons<\/a> to boys&rsquo; bathrooms, an installer of a <a href=\"https:\/\/reason.com\/2024\/08\/06\/tim-walz-was-a-covid-19-tyrant\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Covid snitch line<\/a>, a shill for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/articles\/harris-running-mate-teases-his-own-project-2025-socialism-2cc09600\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">socialism<\/a>, and a man who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/retired-police-lieutenant-rips-walz-surrendering-city-rioters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">allowed<\/a> George Floyd rioters to set Minneapolis ablaze &mdash; with Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/30\/kamala-harris-backed-fund-bailed-out-a-repeat-felon-three-weeks-later-he-was-charged-with-murder\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">promoting a bail fund<\/a> for the arsonists. He too has sought to unburden himself from what has been, as illustrated in his disgraceful <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/08\/13\/the-ignominy-of-master-sergeant-timothy-walz\/?_thumbnail_id=325412\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stolen valor scandal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>How can Harris reconcile her past anti-energy, pro-invasion, health care-system-destroying record, the record of the Biden-Harris White House that so alienated Americans that The Party was forced to jettison its chief figurehead, and the record of her VP pick, with the positions of candidate Kamala? She cannot.<\/p>\n<p>There are only two ways to understand &ldquo;The Great Reimagining&rdquo; underway, stipulating that the person now advocating for price controls has not had a genuine change of heart in the opposite direction. One is that Harris is cynical and holds Americans in contempt. She is what she has always been &mdash; an <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/08\/09\/kamala-harris-seized-damning-undercover-planned-parenthood-videos-8-years-ago-and-theyre-finally-unsealed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">authoritarian<\/a> leftist poised to Make America San Francisco &mdash; but, recognizing American voters would reject this fate out of hand, she has to lie, obfuscate, and evade scrutiny about her true beliefs at all costs.<\/p>\n<p>Axios laid this out explicitly, its top editors <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/08\/14\/kamala-harris-economy-inflation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reporting<\/a>:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>A big part of the Harris plan is to unapologetically change some of her more liberal positions, and claim her White House experience helped change her mind. &hellip;<\/p>\n<p>She&rsquo;s also fine plucking popular Trump ideas, notably &lsquo;no tax on tips&rsquo; for service and hospitality workers &mdash; popular in Nevada, one of the biggest swing states. &hellip;<\/p>\n<p>Her bet: whatever she says in the small, three-month window of her snap campaign will be what sticks. Harris knows most people know little about her. So she believes she can define herself, even if it includes flip-flops and co-opts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p>In other words, Harris is trying to pull a fast one on the American people. Axios is conveying her campaign&rsquo;s apparent view that we are idiots.<\/p>\n<p>The alternative explanation is not much better. It is that Harris is content to repudiate all of her most politically toxic positions because she has no fixed positions at all. That is, she is willing to say or do whatever it takes to seize power.<\/p>\n<p>This would naturally raise questions about why she so badly wants that power, and whether Americans should desire someone who is so power-hungry to be leading the country. It also raises the question of why we should trust that anything she says is true. Vice President Harris &ldquo;wants to break with Biden on issues on which he&rsquo;s unpopular,&rdquo; Axios tells us. But she could just as easily zag after zigging &mdash; right back to the Biden-Harris agenda on steroids were she to be elected.<\/p>\n<p>Corporate media, the communications arm of our ruling regime, will do anything and everything it can to protect the frontwoman they installed for the Democrat Party. It is incumbent on the Trump campaign to force the issue of the candidate&rsquo;s radicalism, cynicism, and duplicity to the fore as best it can in a hostile information environment rigged to promote the regime&rsquo;s favored narratives and suppress competing ones.<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 election, and indeed the future of the country, may well depend upon it.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Ben Weingarten is editor at large for RealClearInvestigations. Walz has also faced criticism for his handling of civil unrest following George Floyd&#8217;s death while Harris supported bail funds for those involved in related riots.<\/p>\n<p>How can Harris reconcile her previous positions against energy production and immigration enforcement with those she might adopt as a candidate? It seems impossible. There are two interpretations of this shift: either she is cynical and holds Americans in disdain\u2014an authoritarian leftist who must disguise her true beliefs\u2014or she lacks any firm principles altogether and will say anything necessary to gain power.<\/p>\n<p>This raises concerns about why she desires power so intensely and whether such ambition should be trusted by voters. Axios reports that Harris aims to distance herself from unpopular Biden policies but could easily revert back if elected.<\/p>\n<p>The corporate media will likely continue protecting their chosen Democratic figurehead at all costs.
