Meanwhile, Vice President\u200c Kamala Harris\u2063 is expected to become the Democratic\u2063 candidate \u200dfollowing Biden&#8217;s decision to step down.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>House Republicans published a nearly 300-page <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dropbox.com\/scl\/fi\/wtgskxx248erx8lnj7tc1\/2024.08.19-Report-of-the-Impeachment-Inquiry-of-Joseph-R.-Biden-Jr.-President-of-the-United-States.pdf?rlkey=a2z1pg4hfaphv4akyz0yyijyc&amp;e=1&amp;st=6h0lamz3&amp;dl=0\">report <\/a>Monday presenting lengthy evidence indicating President Joe Biden is guilty of &ldquo;impeachable offenses.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Republicans on the Oversight, Judiciary, and Ways and Means Committees released the joint report following a year-long impeachment inquiry concluding &ldquo;first and foremost, [the] overwhelming evidence demonstrates that President Biden participated in a conspiracy to monetize his office of public trust to enrich his family.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The report says the current Democrat president, his family, and their associates capitalized on Biden&rsquo;s occupation of high public offices to rake in $27 million from foreign individuals and entities since 2014 through shell corporations designed &ldquo;to conceal these payments from scrutiny.&rdquo; This money came primarily from foreign adversaries, including Russia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan, China, Romania, and Panama. <\/p>\n<p>The committees counted an additional $8 million in supposed loans to Hunter Biden and James Biden from &ldquo;Democratic benefactors.&rdquo; That makes for a total of more than $35 million &ldquo;sent to Biden family members, their companies, and business associates since 2013&rdquo; for which no &ldquo;legitimate services&rdquo; were found to justify &ldquo;such lucrative payments.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Biden family used proceeds from these business activities to provide hundreds of thousands of dollars to Joe Biden,&rdquo; lawmakers reported, &ldquo;including thousands of dollars that are directly traceable to China.&rdquo; One former business partner <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/10\/27\/biden-family-whistleblower-joe-biden-is-compromised-by-communist-china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> China had &ldquo;compromised&rdquo; Biden even before the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<h2>U.S. Government For Sale<\/h2>\n<p>House investigators found President Biden guilty of engaging in the kind of quid pro quo Democrats accused former President Donald Trump of in the Republican&rsquo;s first impeachment five years ago. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;While Hunter Biden served on the board of directors of the Ukrainian energy company Burisma from 2014 to 2019,&rdquo; they wrote, &ldquo;he utilized his father&rsquo;s position to relieve pressure the company was under from a government investigation.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In doing so,&rdquo; lawmakers explained, &ldquo;Vice President Biden changed U.S. policy in order to withhold a $1 billion U.S. loan guarantee until Ukraine took government action to stop the investigation into the company affiliated with Hunter Biden.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Republicans pointed to the 2019 impeachment crusade as &ldquo;precedent&rdquo; for impeaching Biden. Then, Democrats under House Speaker Nancy Pelosi defined &ldquo;abuse of office&rdquo; as &ldquo;official power to obtain an improper personal benefit, while ignoring or injuring the national interest.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;By monetizing the Vice Presidency for his family&rsquo;s benefit, [Joe Biden] abused his office of public trust, placing the welfare of his family ahead of the welfare of the United States,&rdquo; the report charges.<\/p>\n<h2>Obstruction<\/h2>\n<p>House Republicans also accused the Biden administration of obstructing congressional investigators as lawmakers probed the First Family&rsquo;s most recent decade of financial misconduct.<\/p>\n<p>The White House, lawmakers wrote, &ldquo;obstructed the Committees&rsquo; impeachment inquiry by withholding key documents and witnesses.&rdquo; The administration also &ldquo;impeded the Committees&rsquo; investigation of President Biden&rsquo;s unlawful retention of classified documents, by refusing to make relevant witnesses available for interviews and by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/5-days-before-midterms-doj-is-still-refusing-to-release-bidens-plan-to-federalize-local-elections\/\" title=\"5 Days Before Midterms, DOJ Is Still Refusing To Release Biden\u2019s Plan To Federalize Local Elections\">erroneously asserting executive privilege<\/a> over audio recordings from Special Counsel [Robert] Hur&rsquo;s interviews with President Biden.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In February, Hur <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/02\/08\/prosecutors-decline-to-charge-elderly-biden-over-poor-memory\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">publicly declined<\/a> to press the president with felonies related to mishandling classified information after his team found the 81-year-old commander-in-chief too senile to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/conservative-charged-with-election-interference-for-social-media-post\/\" title=\"Conservative charged with election interference for social media post\">face federal charges<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Based on our direct interactions with and observations of him, he is someone for whom many jurors will want to identify reasonable doubt,&rdquo; the Hur report read. &ldquo;It would be difficult to convince a jury that they should convict him &mdash; by then a former president well into his eighties &mdash; of a serious felony that requires a mental state of willfulness.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In their report on Monday, Republicans highlighted Trump&rsquo;s first impeachment to justify impeachment-level obstruction charges against Biden.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Following the standard set by House Democrats in the impeachment of President Trump,&rdquo; they wrote, &ldquo;impeding an impeachment inquiry may amount to impeachable obstruction.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>Democrats Drop Biden After Covering For Him<\/h2>\n<p>With voting in some states beginning in one month, however, any Republican articles of impeachment would come not only after this year&rsquo;s presidential election but also after Biden already decided to step down in January. Vice President Kamala Harris will replace Biden at the top of the Democrats&rsquo; November ticket in Chicago this week. In their report, Republicans vowed to press onward with their impeachment inquiry while Biden governs as a lame-duck president.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Despite the cheapening of the impeachment power by Democrats in recent years, the House&rsquo;s decision to pursue articles of impeachment must not be made lightly,&rdquo; they wrote. &ldquo;As such, this report endeavors to present the evidence gathered to date so that all Members of the House may assess the extent of President Biden&rsquo;s corruption.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In June, lawmakers <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/05\/republicans-demand-doj-charge-hunter-and-james-biden-for-lying-about-joes-role-in-influence-peddling-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">referred <\/a>Hunter Biden and James Biden to the Department of Justice (DOJ) for criminal prosecution for making false statements to protect the president.
