Candidate Joe Biden chose her as his running mate in 2020 because she is a black woman, and she ascended to the apex of national politics due to her race and sex.<\/p>\n<p>Just as important, DEI is policy for Harris and the administration in which she serves. The Biden-Harris open-border devastation stems from a fundamental DEI concept: that it&rsquo;s racist to protect America&rsquo;s borders &mdash; and citizens &mdash; from illegal migrants who are overwhelmingly not white, and that Trump is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/story\/2019\/06\/24\/joe-biden-trump-immigration-racist-1377518\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cruel and racist<\/a> for having done so and promising to do so again. Hence, with Harris as the Biden administration&rsquo;s border czar, an estimated <a href=\"https:\/\/homeland.house.gov\/2024\/05\/22\/startling-stats-factsheet-biden-administration-on-track-to-reach-10-million-encounters-nationwide-before-end-of-fiscal-year\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">10 million<\/a> foreign citizens have been allowed to illegally enter this country.<\/p>\n<p>On other issues ranging from crime to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.city-journal.org\/article\/yes-critical-race-theory-is-being-taught-in-schools\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">education<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.heritage.org\/defense\/commentary\/the-rise-wokeness-the-military#:~:text=Woke%20ideology%20undermines%20military%20readiness,on%20merit%20or%20quota%20requirements.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">military readiness<\/a>, Democrats have adopted DEI policies and practices and made this country worse. On day one of the Biden-Harris administration, the White House <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/01\/20\/executive-order-advancing-racial-equity-and-support-for-underserved-communities-through-the-federal-government\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">proclaimed<\/a> a new &ldquo;whole-of-government&rdquo; agenda focused on &ldquo;advancing racial equity.&rdquo; In case there was any confusion, Harris had helpfully <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/KamalaHarris\/status\/1322963321994289154\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">explained<\/a> in the 2020 elections that equity means mandating equal results, not offering equal opportunity.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to 2024, and Harris&rsquo;s choice of Walz as her running mate demonstrates continued fealty to DEI ideology. As governor of Minnesota, he made illegal migrants eligible for <a href=\"https:\/\/minnesotareformer.com\/2023\/05\/20\/minnesota-to-allow-all-undocumented-residents-to-enroll-in-public-insurance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">health care<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/local\/twin-cities\/2023\/05\/31\/minnesota-free-college-tuition-undocumented-immigrants-eligible\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">college tuition<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/tim-walz-hit-over-illegal-immigration-record-after-harris-pick-win-open-borders\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">driver&rsquo;s licenses<\/a> &mdash; courtesy of his state&rsquo;s taxpayers. Meanwhile, a top contender as Harris&rsquo;s running mate, Josh Shapiro, the popular governor of the all-important swing state of Pennsylvania, drew vehement objections from the pro-Palestinian wing of the Democratic Party over his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/08\/05\/josh-shapiro-israel-gaza-vice-president-harris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pro-Israel<\/a> positions.<\/p>\n<p>Did Shapiro&rsquo;s condemnation of antisemitic riots and support for Israel cost him a chance to be the Democrats&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kim-reynolds-declares-parents-matter-in-sotu-response-speech\/\" title=\"Kim Reynolds Declares &#039;Parents Matter&#039; in SOTU Response Speech\">vice-presidential pick<\/a>? Maybe. What is certain is that Harris and Walz, and their party, have rationalized and encouraged both <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/state-dept-deputy-spox-has-history-of-anti-cop-rhetoric\/\" title=\"State Dept. Deputy Spox Has History of Anti-Cop Rhetoric\">race-based violence<\/a> and the DEI ideology that feeds it.<\/p>\n<p>While the politics of the Middle East are complicated, the perverse, uncontained antisemitism that exploded on college campuses across America last fall <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/opinion\/diversity-scam-university-antisemitism-scandal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">drew <\/a>inspiration and justification from a simple concept: Violence in pursuit of so-called racial or social justice is acceptable. This same concept fueled the George Floyd riots of 2020 &mdash; for which Walz&rsquo;s state served as ground zero &mdash; and empowered the dramatic expansion of DEI bureaucracies afterwards in academia, government, and corporate America.<\/p>\n<p>Walz is one of DEI&rsquo;s biggest apologists. After Floyd&rsquo;s death in May 2020, Black Lives Matter (BLM) race riots ravaged Minneapolis. Although the city&rsquo;s Democrat mayor requested that Walz send in the National Guard, Walz was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startribune.com\/what-america-needs-to-know-about-tim-walz-of-minnesota\/600386013\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">immobilized<\/a> by fear and indecision. Minneapolis burned for three days while he dithered.<\/p>\n<p>As Manhattan Institute scholar Heather Mac Donald has documented, Walz <a href=\"https:\/\/manhattan.institute\/article\/rioting-looting-arson-and-violence-have-become-a-civilization-destroying-pandemic\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">apologized<\/a> &mdash; to the rioters &mdash; for his white privilege. It was a grotesque display of cowardice and failure in leadership, and leftist politicians across the country engaged in the same. Harris herself promoted a fund to bail out violent rioters.<\/p>\n<p>The bloody riots fueled the rise of the &ldquo;Defund the Police&rdquo; movement and popularized the dangerous notion that it is racist for cops to uphold law and order. Policies implemented on this premise led to dangerously under-resourced police departments, and the rampant crime that followed led even black Democrat mayors in America&rsquo;s largest cities to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/politics-news\/democrats-went-defund-refund-police-rcna14796\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">call for<\/a> &ldquo;refunding the police&rdquo; just two years later.<\/p>\n<p>In Oakland, California, where Harris was born and launched her 2020 presidential campaign, crime became so widespread that the local branch of the NAACP last year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.naacpoakland.org\/post\/end-oakland-s-public-safety-crisis\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">denounced<\/a> the city&rsquo;s failed leadership and the movement to defund the police, noting that the public safety crisis &ldquo;overwhelmingly affects minority communities.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Neither Trump nor his allies should be afraid to attack the moral bankruptcy of DEI that has fueled the Biden-Harris policy disasters. That does not mean those unfamiliar or uncomfortable with the convoluted and controversial nature of race or sex politics should seek out opportunities to pontificate publicly. It does mean that the appropriate surrogates should be prepared to attack DEI ideology <em>and<\/em> the DEI candidate.<\/p>\n<p>When Trump triggered much outrage at the recent National Association for Black Journalists conference by suggesting that Harris leans into her two racial sides (black and Indian) depending on which benefits her most at the moment, perhaps someone on Team Trump should have pointed out that, four years ago, no one on the DEI-obsessed left was clamoring for their vice president to be an Indian woman.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo;s DEI status &mdash; and her DEI worship &mdash; are <em>her<\/em> weakness, not Trump&rsquo;s.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<div>\n<p>      Ying Ma&nbsp;is the president of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/americanidealspac.com\/\">American Ideals PAC <\/a> and author of <a href=\"https:\/\/americanidealspac.com\/\">Chinese Girl in the Ghetto<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Right-leaning groups and individuals, who typically have differing views, are united in advising former President Donald Trump to refrain from discussing Vice President Kamala Harris&#8217;s race and instead focus on her policy decisions. Meanwhile, another potential vice-presidential candidate for Harris was Josh Shapiro\u2014the popular governor of Pennsylvania\u2014whose pro-Israel stance drew backlash from pro-Palestinian factions within the Democratic Party.<\/p>\n<p>It remains uncertain whether Shapiro\u2019s condemnation of antisemitic protests affected his chances for nomination; however it is clear that both Harris and Walz have rationalized actions contributing to race-based violence while endorsing DEI ideologies.<\/p>\n<p>The complexities surrounding Middle Eastern politics aside; last fall saw an alarming surge in antisemitism on college campuses across America fueled by a troubling notion: violence justified by claims of racial or social justice is permissible\u2014a concept also seen during the George Floyd riots in 2020 when Minneapolis became ground zero for unrest leading to an expansion of DEI initiatives across various sectors.<\/p>\n<p>Walz has been one of DEI\u2019s staunch defenders; following Floyd&#8217;s death in May 2020 amidst BLM protests ravaging Minneapolis he hesitated despite requests from local officials for National Guard assistance while chaos ensued over three days due to his indecision.
