Smith is dumping a big bucket of cold water on all of the buzz surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>Yes. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-espn-commentator-stephen-smith-says-michelle-obama-beat-trump-hands\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Stephen A. Smith<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, in fairness to Smith, in spite of his inability to speak in anything other than all caps, the loquacious ESPN pundit probably has a more open mind than many of his more <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/sports-radio-host-blasts-espns-tribute-megan-rapinoe-isnt-sports-left-wing-propaganda\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">left-leaning<\/a> compatriots at the network.<\/p>\n<p>After all, it was only in April that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/keith-olbermann-issues-ultimatum-espn-silence-fire-stephen-smith-trump-comments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">rabid leftist<\/a> Keith Olbermann ripped into Smith because the latter dared to say that former President Donald Trump was, in fact, relatable to the black community.<\/p>\n<p>After Smith&rsquo;s latest political comments, he&rsquo;d better be prepared for more leftists to come for his neck.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Using a clip from his eponymous show, Smith posted a segment on Tuesday that was headlined: &ldquo;VP Harris is leading the polls &hellip; why that DOES NOT matter.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The crux of Smith&rsquo;s argument is a familiar one: For all the buzz and &ldquo;momentum&rdquo; that Harris has enjoyed since becoming the de facto leader of the Democratic Party, she has been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dem-gov-offers-pathetic-excuse-kamalas-refusal-talk-media-plenty-time-interviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">conspicuously absent<\/a> from speaking to the media or answering anything resembling a tough question.<\/p>\n<p>Harris&rsquo; refusal to speak to the media has rankled the chains of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-terrified-press-conferences-harris-spokesman-refuses-commit-cnn-host-presses-live-air\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">even CNN<\/a>, arguably the friendliest platform she could go on.<\/p>\n<p>(The VP also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/elon-musk-makes-offer-kamala-harris-trump-interview-blows\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has an offer<\/a> to have a discussion on a less friendly platform, as well, but it&rsquo;s unlikely she&rsquo;ll do that.)<\/p>\n<p>Smith is now the latest to notice &mdash; and call out &mdash; this trend.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"VP Harris is leading the polls...why that DOES NOT matter\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/iN6kwrgNVio?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Smith began by rattling off all the things Harris purportedly has going for her, including favorable polling, seemingly large crowds and hundreds of millions of dollars being funneled to her.<\/p>\n<p>He doesn&rsquo;t think any of that matters.<\/p>\n<p>After explicitly saying he was not attacking Harris on her race or IQ level, Smith began his salvo.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But having said all of that, fair is fair,&rdquo; Smith said. &ldquo;Fair is fair to independents out there. Fair is fair to conservatives and Republicans out there.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s certain things that we have to hold both sides to.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>After noting when Biden dropped out (July 21), Smith began tallying just how long it&rsquo;s been since Harris has been grilled in any way, shape or form.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We&rsquo;ve had one week &hellip;&nbsp; two weeks &hellip;&nbsp; three weeks and one day since Joe Biden stepped aside,&rdquo; Smith said. &ldquo;The only damn place we&rsquo;ve seen Kamala Harris is at pep rallies!<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What&rsquo;s up [with that]? Somebody gotta say something and it can&rsquo;t just be the conservatives.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Right is right.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>After calling Harris his &ldquo;sister,&rdquo; Smith kept up the attack: &ldquo;Come on now. You&rsquo;re running for the presidency of the United States of America. You got my vote!<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You running for the presidency of the United States of America.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What you hiding for? And I mean hiding in plain sight! Somebody gotta say it!
