Both margins are similar to when Biden was the presumptive nominee in July, according to the pollster.<\/p>\n<p>Harris does have an edge over Trump on healthcare, gun violence, and abortion, all areas Biden also had an advantage over Trump in the July poll.<\/p>\n<p>Two areas that Harris has recently focused on still show Trump with an edge: inflation and crime. Harris has leaned into her time as San Francisco district attorney and California attorney general to convey a tough on crime attitude, but she trails Trump on the matter by 3%.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">vice president<\/a> also trails Trump on inflation by 9%, as Harris tries to tout her plan to combat rising prices by aiming to outlaw so-called price gauging. The plan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3122411\/harris-teases-price-gouging-ban\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"outlined\">outlined<\/a> by Harris last week has received significant pushback, with some comparing the proposal to price controls.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Harris and Democrats will take the stage at the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Democratic-National-Convention\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Democratic National Convention<\/a> this week in Chicago as they make their pitch to voters for November.<\/p>\n<p>Trump and Harris will hold their first-ever one-on-one debate on Sept. 10.
