Rather, it&rsquo;s reached the point where &mdash; like the man she&rsquo;s replacing atop the ticket, President Joe Biden &mdash; she&rsquo;s actively insulting them.<\/p>\n<p>The media finally reached their tipping point with the president when he asked them to attest to his competency both during and after the debate from hell. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-cnns-van-jones-drops-biden-wants-race-debate-failure-didnt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">They declined<\/a>, and the rest was history. Now, Harris is insulting them in a similar way &mdash; and it&rsquo;s not just refusing to answer questions or sit for an interview anymore.<\/p>\n<p>Take Sara Fischer of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/08\/13\/harris-campaign-google-poltical-ads-news-publishers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Axios<\/a>. On Tuesday, Fisher broke a story that essentially accused the Harris campaign of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-campaign-caught-deceptively-editing-news-headlines-allowed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">engaging in a form of fake news<\/a> in which it would run ads on Google which took actual stories from news sources and put new, deceptive headlines on them.<\/p>\n<p>One story from the U.K. Independent, for instance, was retitled &ldquo;Trump Will Pardon J6 Rioters &mdash; VP Harris Protects Democracy.&rdquo; Another, from NPR: &ldquo;Harris Will Lower Health Costs.&rdquo; From Reuters: &ldquo;Inflation Is Down.&rdquo; One from the U.K. Guardian: &ldquo;VP Harris Fights Abortion Bans &ndash; Harris Defends Repro Freedom.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It&rsquo;s a common practice in the commercial advertising world that doesn&rsquo;t violate Google&rsquo;s policies, but the ads mimic real news results from Search closely enough that they have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/jeffries-op-ed-defending-anti-semites-comes-back-to-haunt-dems-who-voted-for-him\/\" title=\"Jeffries&#039; defense of anti-Semites haunts Dems who supported him.\">news outlets caught<\/a> off guard,&rdquo; Fischer wrote in the Tuesday piece.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Harris campaign has been editing news headlines &amp; descriptions in search ads that make it appear as if major outlets support her<br \/> &mdash;Google believes its sponsored disclosures are enough to keep voters from being misled, but media outlets may feel differently<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/dU0KFhbeuy\">https:\/\/t.co\/dU0KFhbeuy<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sara Fischer (@sarafischer) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/sarafischer\/status\/1823431086766219631?\">August 13, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Despite the fact that Fischer broke the piece, even she seemed to want to hedge the fact she was reporting that Kamala&rsquo;s campaign was manipulating headlines in a way that, if former President Donald Trump did it, would be called &ldquo;fake news.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>For instance: &ldquo;The campaign has complied with all of Google&rsquo;s rules, although a technical glitch in Google&rsquo;s Ad Library made it appear as though some ads lacked the necessary disclosures Google requires when they ran. (A Google spokesperson confirmed the glitch and said it&rsquo;s investigating what happened),&rdquo; she wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Yes, those darn Google glitches. They seem to happen so often when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/google-admits-changing-search-results-trump-assassination-searches-much\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harris and Trump are involved<\/a>!<\/p>\n<p>Another great laugh line in the initial article: &ldquo;The mainstream media industry is already fighting assertions of bias. These ads, even though they comply with Google&rsquo;s rules, could leave media outlets further vulnerable to charges of partisanship.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Yes, imagine that. &ldquo;Assertions&rdquo; the media is biased. Heaven forfend.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s worth noting that even (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dr-phils-video-border-crisis-shut-social-media-platforms-accuses-facebook-others-censorship\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Facebook!<\/a>) has banned this practice for seven years now, yet Google continues to justify it because the fake headlines are &ldquo;easily distinguishable from Search results.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Right &mdash; which is clearly why the campaign is spending wads of cash to retitle headlines on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/liberal-news-google-search-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Search<\/a>. Because they&rsquo;re so easily distinguishable as ads. Putting up with Biden&rsquo;s senescence after the debate was a line they wouldn&rsquo;t cross; it was too insulting for even them. But this? It&rsquo;s fine. Everything is fine. Just cover for the Democratic nominee.<\/p>\n<p>One wonders why she even bothered to run the story in the first place. Just publish a piece titled &ldquo;Kamala is Awesome!&rdquo; in its stead, with &ldquo;Kamala is Awesome!&rdquo; repeated several hundred times to fill up the word count.
