It&rsquo;s been nearly a month now since the vice president became the de facto favorite to become the Democratic Party&rsquo;s nominee, and not only has she not done a news conference, she hasn&rsquo;t even bothered to do an interview yet. None. Zero. Zip.<\/p>\n<p>As you may recall, even the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-joy-reid-compare-trump-surviving-a-shooting-to-biden-surviving-covid-in-a-wild-segment\/\" title=\"Watch Joy Reid compare Trump surviving a shooting to Biden surviving COVID in a wild segment\">president &#038;mdash<\/a>; a man who now sounds like he borrowed a few of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-doubles-brain-worm-diagnosis-offers-eat-six-worm-handicap-debates\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.&rsquo;s brain worms<\/a> to completely eradicate whatever grey matter he has left over the past four years &mdash; did several sit-down interviews after he bombed the June 27 debate with former President Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Sure, they were terrible and incoherent (sometimes even when using questions Biden&rsquo;s own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/radio-station-parts-ways-host-exposes-biden-admits-wh-influenced-questions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">campaign fed to reporters<\/a>), but he&nbsp;<em>did<\/em> them. Kamala is supposed to be this fresh face ready to take over, but she seems even more reticent to answer questions than the man she hopes to replace, who set a new low bar in terms of media interaction. Biden has what appears to be some form of dementia. What&rsquo;s her excuse, then?<\/p>\n<p>Enter Phil Murphy, the Democratic governor of New Jersey, who has an excuse for the veep: Look, you&rsquo;ve got plenty of time to ask her questions.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Murphy was appearing on CNN Tuesday when he was asked about Donald Trump&rsquo;s interview with Elon Musk on X Spaces &mdash; along with the fact that Harris hadn&rsquo;t done interviews of her own yet and whether that would be a problem for her.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You won&rsquo;t be surprised to hear, I had no time for the Musk-Trump interviews,&rdquo; he said, according to a CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/transcripts.cnn.com\/show\/cnc\/date\/2024-08-13\/segment\/05\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">transcript<\/a>. &ldquo;So, I can&rsquo;t comment on any content. But, no, not at all.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think she&rsquo;s had an extraordinary several weeks,&rdquo; he continued. &ldquo;Tim Walz is an inspired pick. She&rsquo;s on a roll. She is &ndash; as he has said, she&rsquo;s brought <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chick-fil-a-brings-back-2-fan-favorite-items-to-its-menu\/\" title=\"Chick-fil-A revives 2 beloved menu items.\">joy back<\/a> into the whole arena of politics.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;ll be plenty of time to do interviews. And God knows one thing about last night, without having heard it, that was no interview. So, when she does interviews, she&rsquo;ll do it with real journalists like yourself.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Oh, well, thanks for avouching for her, Gov. Murphy. She&rsquo;ll take interviews when she&rsquo;s ready. There&rsquo;s plenty of time to do them! Like, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ad-every-gop-candidate-will-running-election-day-kamala-will-lose\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">after Election Day<\/a>. Maybe when she&rsquo;s being inaugurated? Would you take March?<\/p>\n<p>By this logic, she&rsquo;s also had plenty of time to do interviews &mdash; and there&rsquo;s still plenty of time to&nbsp;<em>not<\/em> do interviews, as well. So, you know, it&rsquo;d be&nbsp;<em>nice<\/em> to hear what happened from someone who was there.<\/p>\n<p>But that&rsquo;s the thing: Kamala <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/report-looks-like-biden-really-medical-event-july\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">wants to memory hole<\/a> all of this until she brings so much &ldquo;joy back into the arena of politics&rdquo; &mdash; to use Gov. She&rsquo;s not just avoiding interviews because there are plenty of time for them. New Jersey Governor Phil Murphy offered an explanation during a CNN appearance when asked about Trump&#8217;s interview with Elon Musk and whether Harris\u2019s lack of interviews would pose an issue: \u201cYou won\u2019t be surprised that I didn\u2019t have time for those,\u201d he stated before asserting that Harris has had an impressive few weeks and will have ample opportunity for interviews later.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks for your support, Governor Murphy! She\u2019ll get around to doing interviews when it suits her schedule\u2014perhaps after Election Day or even during her inauguration? According to this reasoning, there\u2019s still plenty of time available\u2014not just before September 1st but indefinitely into the future.<\/p>\n<p>This isn\u2019t akin to scheduling medical procedures amidst a busy work life; candidates are expected to engage with the press actively. As I write this now, it has been 25 days since President Biden announced via social media that he would not seek re-election while endorsing Harris: \u201cMy fellow Democrats&#8230;I\u2019ve decided not to accept the nomination.\u201d At minimum, she owes us some clarity on matters like her awareness of Biden\u2019s declining mental health and how they handled his endorsement process.<\/p>\n<p>Typically, candidates who secure their party&#8217;s nomination don\u2019t withdraw through social media posts while serving as president; thus it would be beneficial if we could hear from someone involved about what transpired.
