Elizabeth Warren, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/opinion\/campaign\/4816859-kamala-harris-is-extremely-liberal-and-the-numbers-prove-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The flip-flop on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democrat-strategist-enraged-kamala-harris-keeps-making-mistake-cost\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medicare-for-All<\/a> is the latest example of a supposed shift in policy preference.<\/p>\n<p>In Jan. 2019, Fox News reporter Peter Doocy <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/harris-campaign-not-push-medicare-for-all-plan-despite-previous-support\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">asked<\/a> then-presidential candidate Harris, &ldquo;How important is it to your health care plan to get rid of private insurance companies? Because there is some confusion about that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m glad you asked. Yeah. So, the bottom line and the most important is that everyone have access to health care,&rdquo; Harris answered. &ldquo;That is the goal. That is the purpose for me supporting the policy of &lsquo;Medicare-for-all.&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>However, on Tuesday a &ldquo;campaign official&rdquo; told Doocy that &ldquo;Harris will not push the subject of single-payer or &lsquo;Medicare-for-all&rsquo; this go around, as she seeks her first term as commander-in-chief,&rdquo; according to Fox News.<\/p>\n<p>So it sounds like her campaign is saying it wouldn&rsquo;t be a priority, but if Congress were to pass such legislation, it seems pretty likely she would sign it, given she &ldquo;always&rdquo; has supported &ldquo;Medicare-for-All.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Harris was the first to co-sponsor Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders Medicare-for-All bill in 2017, <a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1Sg7fER2Czsc1G4eRrJWdyyoILOl9pVrfiWX_wPFhL6U\/edit\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Americans for Tax Reform<\/a> noted.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">&#128680;Wow. As a reality check, the federal deficit this year is projected to be<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/elon-musk-lays-exact-cause-inflation-harris-walz-exacerbate-problem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> nearly $2 trillion<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>So massive tax increases would be required (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2018\/10\/medicare-for-all-plan-harmful-to-seniors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">over $26,000 per household<\/a> per year) which would do great damage to the economy.<\/p>\n<p>When Harris ran for president in 2019, she clearly stated Medicare-for-All was what she supported. She even authored a Medium article titled, &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/kamalaharris.medium.com\/my-plan-for-medicare-for-all-7730370dd421\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">My Plan For Medicare For All.<\/a>&ldquo;<\/p>\n<p>By that point, she had backed off from the full-on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bernie-sanders-promises-pay-every-nickel-medicare-refuses-explain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bernie plan<\/a> of forced Medicare-for-All somewhat, writing that she would allow private insurers to offer Medicare plans &ldquo;that adhere to strict Medicare requirements on costs and benefits.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But, the trick then would, of course, be how could private insurers offer competitive plans that have all the benefits of Medicare without the taxpayers picking up the cost?
