Stein <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DrJillStein\/status\/1823063059155517712\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> on X. &ldquo;We are excited to say that the ruling has been made in our favor and we will offer an anti-genocide, pro-worker, climate action choice for Silver State voters!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8df155b9d75e9e246035a155b2803c67 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8df155b9d75e9e246035a155b2803c67\"><\/div>\n<p>The entire saga began in June, when the Nevada Democratic Party filed a lawsuit alleging the Green Party did not gather enough valid signatures in each of the Silver State&rsquo;s congressional districts required to appear on the November ballot. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/jill-stein-and-nevada-greens-win-ballot-battle-against-democratic-party\/ar-AA1oIHbp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">local media<\/a>, the left-leaning third party &ldquo;turned in nearly 30,000 signatures for ballot access &mdash; far more than the required 10,000.&rdquo; The office of Nevada Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar, a Democrat, determined 14,821 of those submitted signatures were &ldquo;valid,&rdquo; and subsequently declared the Green Party eligible for ballot access.<\/p>\n<p>Writing for the First Judicial District Court of Nevada in and for Carson City, Judge Kristin Luis <a href=\"https:\/\/s3.documentcloud.org\/documents\/25040353\/730-order-denying-injunctive-relief.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">determined<\/a> that Nevada Democrats did not meet the necessary burden of proof demonstrating how the petition submitted by the Greens &ldquo;is clearly invalid.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Plaintiffs have &ldquo;not produced sufficient evidence to show that the petition has less than the required number of valid signatures in any petition district,&rdquo; Luis wrote. &ldquo;&hellip; The Court therefore finds that the Democratic Party did not meet its burden to show that the Green Party failed to substantially comply with the law.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ea64b61637b565d58a7b2f73d2b87c97 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ea64b61637b565d58a7b2f73d2b87c97\"><\/div>\n<p>The last-ditch attempt to keep Stein off Nevada&rsquo;s presidential ballot is one of many challenges filed by Democrats seeking to boost Kamala Harris&rsquo; electoral prospects. Worried that left-leaning candidates&rsquo; presence on the 2024 ballot could syphon votes away from Harris, Democrats are using lawfare to deny these candidates ballot access in primarily battleground states across the country.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Clear Choice Action, a Democrat-aligned super PAC, filed a lawsuit in North Carolina that tried to deny ballot access to third parties representing <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/robert-f-kennedy-jr-2\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Robert F. Kennedy Jr.<\/a>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/cornel-west\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Cornel West<\/a>. After <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/27\/north-carolinas-democrat-run-elections-board-stonewalls-letting-kennedy-west-on-ballot\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">slow-walking<\/a> the approval process, the state&rsquo;s Democrat-controlled election board <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/north-carolina-lawmakers-grill-elections-board-over-ballot-denial-for-cornel-west-party\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">granted<\/a> Kennedy&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/no-labels-no-cash-third-party-ballot-access-group-raised-zero-dollars-in-first-six-months-of-2023\/\" title=\"Third-party ballot access group raised no funds in first half of 2023.\">party ballot access<\/a> last month. <\/p>\n<p>The board did not, however, approve the bid launched by West&rsquo;s party.
