in Monday&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/playbook\/2024\/08\/12\/the-unwritten-harris-agenda-00173589?nname=playbook&amp;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nrid=0000014e-f115-dd93-ad7f-f915a6170001&amp;nlid=630318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">edition<\/a> of Politico &ldquo;Playbook&rdquo; that went like this: &ldquo;Values unite and specific policies divide, so I don&rsquo;t think there is a desire to spend the next 80 days litigating Medicare for All, for example,&rdquo; and, &ldquo;Why would we start talking about policy?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In other words, Democrats feel no need whatsoever to run a campaign for president. They know they don&rsquo;t have to because the news media are doing the work for them.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-68116e34833532acde5fb1c05983fbde fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-68116e34833532acde5fb1c05983fbde\"><\/div>\n<p>We just went through the most <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/08\/bidens-debilitation-has-upset-the-media-democrat-partnership-but-not-for-much-longer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">scandalous month<\/a> of national campaign politics, a month unlike anything seen in generations, and the Democrats are not only unfazed, they&rsquo;re exuberant. That&rsquo;s not my word, it&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=cc56UW61rxY\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">David Axelrod&rsquo;s<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Republican nominee, a former president, was almost murdered in front of children. The sitting president, ill for the second time just days apart, was browbeaten by his own party into abandoning his campaign only three months before Election Day. His vice president was anointed the party&rsquo;s new nominee without having earned a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/unity-biden-cant-even-keep-his-own-party-together-after-executive-orders\/\" title=\"Unity? Biden Can\u2019t Even Keep His Own Party Together After Executive Orders\">single vote<\/a>. Now she&rsquo;s campaigning like she&rsquo;s not currently in the White House and like the past three years of her shockingly poor performance <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">didn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t happen.<\/p>\n<p>And just like that, we&rsquo;re told Kamala Harris is wildly popular and Donald Trump&rsquo;s clear electoral advantage has evaporated. Politico on Tuesday even ran the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/newsletters\/playbook-pm\/2024\/08\/13\/could-harris-momentum-put-florida-in-play-00132333\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headline<\/a> &ldquo;Could Harris&rsquo; Momentum Put Florida In Play?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A news media interested in thoroughly explaining, contextualizing, and documenting current events would be running headlines to the effect of &ldquo;WTF, THIS ISN&rsquo;T NORMAL!&rdquo; That&rsquo;s unfortunately not the news media we have. Instead, our news media have offered no indication that there&rsquo;s anything at all to be alarmed about. Well, except any remaining possibility that Trump could win the election.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-71152402029ed3c941e28e23225a34b5 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-71152402029ed3c941e28e23225a34b5\"><\/div>\n<p>No, this is all apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/26\/heres-how-the-media-are-lying-right-now-everything-is-fine-edition\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">just fine<\/a> and the way things run per usual. Kamala has done no legitimate interviews or press conferences, has not articulated a single policy proposal &mdash; though she did just steal the no-tax-on-tips idea from Trump &mdash;&nbsp;and her Democrat peers are admitting there&rsquo;s no need for any of that anyway. They&rsquo;ve got the media to reliably, steadfastly attack Trump and his running mate while calling every provable claim against Harris a lie (<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/kamala-cant-win-on-policy-or-performance-so-the-media-will-make-this-campaign-a-race-war\/\">or just racist<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>Up until Biden officially dropped out, Democrats were dreading the possibility that Harris could end up as their nominee. It was virtually out of the question. Not anymore! Didn&rsquo;t you hear about the enthusiasm? Everybody loves her. America can&rsquo;t get enough of Kamala.<\/p>\n<p>She&rsquo;s got nothing to worry about.
