This was true on Thursday when 41-year-old Ernst Delma reportedly struck NYPD officer Mary Fay, a rookie with just eight months of experience, causing her to collapse into the arms of a bystander in the Bronx, as reported by the New York Post. In response to Delma’s attack, Fay’s partner retaliated with several punches to Delma’s face while his pants embarrassingly fell down.

WARNING: The following video contains graphic content and may be offensive to some viewers. If you’re having a rough day, you might want to check this out: an NYPD officer decisively takes down repeat offender Ernst Delma after he assaulted a female officer who is now recovering in the hospital. At the time of this incident, Delma was on probation and had previous arrests for assault and burglary.

The Post noted that Delma was serving probation for a conviction in New Jersey and had prior charges related to assault and burglary. Officer Fay was attempting to intervene in an argument involving Delma and some youths when he struck her. Following his arrest, Delma claimed he didn’t intend to hit her and described it as an act of self-defense while expressing regret over his actions due to being intoxicated.

Delma faced arraignment on charges including assaulting a police officer, resisting arrest, and obstructing governmental administration. He absurdly claimed not to recognize Fay as an officer despite her being in full uniform at the time of the incident; his bail was set at $100,000.

As conservative commentator Colin Rugg remarked about New York’s reputation regarding crime: “New York has a brand.” This “brand” appears linked with criminals who repeatedly make poor choices while offering excuses for their behavior. PBA President Patrick Hendry commented on the situation saying they were relieved that such a dangerous individual would remain off the streets but emphasized that no one should believe Delma’s excuse about not realizing he assaulted an officer—especially since she was clearly identifiable in uniform when he attacked her hard enough to cause significant injuries.

While Officer Fay received treatment for injuries sustained during the altercation—including stitches for a cut lip—Delma later appeared with noticeable swelling around his eye from retaliation by law enforcement.

A potential positive takeaway from Thursday’s events is how they were managed afterward; often we see leniency towards repeat offenders in Democrat-led cities where initial arrests lead quickly back onto streets without serious repercussions. However, it seems that this time around there will be no such leniency afforded to Delma or others like him

[33651
4901,3967,3699
post-2323137","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-the-western-journal","tag-justice","tag-police","tag-violence
["GET
