practices when it comes to retaining the s of low-level employees, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2024\/08\/09\/cdc-records-lawsuit-ruling-00173416\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, after 90 days, it wasn&rsquo;t retaining them at all.<\/p>\n<p>Judge Rudolph Contreras of the United States District Court for the District of Columbia, issued an injunction on Friday ordering the CDC to cease its practice of deleting the s of former employees &mdash; s,&rdquo; the lead post stated.<\/p>\n<p>It continued: &ldquo;The National Archives and Attorney General Garland must now work to recover illegally deleted records and make CDC comply with the law.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s important to note that the lawsuit and the ruling apply only to lower-level employees.<\/p>\n<p>According to Politico, the CDC followed National Archives protocol that demanded that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/instacart-cuts-staff-curbs-hiring-before-ipo-the-information\/\" title=\"Instacart cuts staff, curbs hiring before IPO \u2013 The Information\">senior-level employee<\/a> s be retained permanently.<\/p>\n<p>For lower-level employees, the protocol demands the s be retained for seven years.<\/p>\n<p>However, the <a href=\"https:\/\/ecf.dcd.uscourts.gov\/cgi-bin\/show_public_doc?2024cv1092-20\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">36-page ruling<\/a> makes clear that the vast &ldquo;majority&rdquo; of any agency&rsquo;s employees are made up of what would be considered &ldquo;lower-level employees.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>And American First Legal pulled no punches when it came to describing the behavior.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Biden-Harris Administration was actively destroying the records of federal employees at the CDC in blatant violation of the law &mdash; and we are pleased that the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia has ordered a stop to their illegal conduct,&rdquo; Gene Hamilton, the group&rsquo;s executive director, said in a statement, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3116860\/judge-rules-cdc-breaking-law-deleting-departing-staffers-s\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Washington Examiner<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Biden-Harris Administration&rsquo;s politicization of records management must end.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>To be fair, it wasn&rsquo;t clear from either news articles or Contreras&rsquo; ruling how long the CDC had been engaged in this behavior &mdash; whether it started with President Joe Biden&rsquo;s presidency or was in place during President Donald Trump&rsquo;s administration, too.<\/p>\n<p>But that&rsquo;s not likely to change the way this ruling is seen among conservatives.<\/p>\n<p>The CDC is the parent agency of the National Institute for Allergy and Infectious Diseases, the government home of former NIAID Director Anthony Fauci, a man who&rsquo;s been a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rand-paul-fires-off-really-thinks-fauci-deserves-frankly-go-prison\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">target among conservatives<\/a> for years &mdash; and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/anthony-fauci-finally-admits-truth-evidence-behind-covid-guidelines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">for good reason<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The record Fouci established as the government&rsquo;s face of its response to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gingrich-covid-19-coverup-largest-deadliest-scandal-american-history\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">COVID pandemic<\/a> did not endear the agency to conservative hearts or minds.<\/p>\n<p>The CDC&rsquo;s other apparently blatantly political moves, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cdc-draws-heat-erasing-women-pregnant-people-adopting-gender-neutral-terms-health-guidance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">replacing the phrase<\/a> &ldquo;pregnant women&rdquo; with the words &ldquo;pregnant people&rdquo; have also fostered distrust among conservatives.<\/p>\n<p>And now a federal judge seated in the nation&rsquo;s capital has found that the huge federal agency has been engaging in &ldquo;likely unlawful&rdquo;
