Here are the gas prices for a gallon of regular-grade gas in and around Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Washington, D.C.<\/h2>\n<p>Gas prices were up in the nation&rsquo;s capital on Monday, with the average price for a gallon of regular gas coming in at $3.679. This increased from Sunday, when the cost was $3.686 per gallon. A week ago, a gallon of regular gas averaged $3.688, and a month ago, it was $3.7102.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Maryland<\/h2>\n<p>On Monday, the average price for a gallon of regular gas in Maryland decreased to $3.465. This was a drop from Sunday when it cost $3.475. Prices are higher now than a week ago, when the average price for a gallon of gas in Maryland was $3.399. However, prices are cheaper now than a month ago, when it cost $3.622.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Delaware<\/h2>\n<p>The average price for a gallon of regular gas in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Delaware\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> Delaware<\/a> on Monday was $3.40. This was a decrease from Sunday when the cost was $3.418. Gas prices are considerably more expensive than a week ago when the average was $3.293 per gallon. However, prices are less expensive now than a month ago when drivers in the First State paid $3.553 for a gallon of regular gas.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Virginia<\/h2>\n<p>The average price for a gallon of regular gas in Virginia dropped on Monday, coming in at $3.347. On Sunday, it was slightly higher, costing $3.353 per gallon. Both prices are marginally higher than a week ago when it cost $3.32 for a gallon of gas. A month ago, gas was much more expensive in Virginia, when the average cost was $3.476 for a gallon of regular gas.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Mississippi<\/h2>\n<p>Mississippi continues to be the state with the least expensive gas prices. On Monday, the average cost for a gallon of regular gas in&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Mississippi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Mississippi<\/a> was $2.953. This was a very small decrease from Sunday&rsquo;s price of $2.959. Incidentally, a week ago, regular gas cost the same as Monday&rsquo;s price of $2.953. A month ago, it cost $3.011 per gallon. Currently, Mississippi is the only state in the nation with an average price for regular gas under $3.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Hawaii<\/h2>\n<p>Hawaii has the most expensive gas in the nation on Monday, with an average of $4.66 per gallon for regular gas. It was a slight decrease from Sunday&rsquo;s prices when a gallon of regular averaged $4.662 in the state. A week ago, regular gas cost $4.667 per gallon, and a month ago, it was $4.702. A month prior saw much higher averages at approximately 34 cents more ($34).<\/p>\n<p>**Mississippi:** Mississippi continues as the state with the lowest gasoline prices averaging just under three dollars at approximately **2 dollars &amp; **95 cents (2)953). This reflects only minor changes since yesterday&#8217;s pricing (2)959), remaining consistent over past weeks while showing some decrease since one month ago when it reached **three dollars &amp; **11 cents (3011).<\/p>\n<p>Currently holding its position as having America\u2019s cheapest fuel rates overall!<\/p>\n<p>**Hawaii:** Conversely stands out as having highest national averages this Monday where typical costs reach upwards towards four dollars &amp; sixty-six cents (466).
