left-wing groups including Democracy Fund.<\/p>\n<p>Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger <a href=\"https:\/\/sos.ga.gov\/news\/secretary-raffensperger-announces-real-time-ballot-tracking-partnership-ballot-scout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> Monday that Georgia &ldquo;has partnered with Enhanced Voting to bring the Ballot Scout tool to voters across the state.&rdquo; The platform is said to &ldquo;provide Georgia voters with real-time updates on their absentee by mail ballots, enhancing transparency and confidence in the voting process.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-7b3960112d700fe9ad8bd79b18a45852 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-7b3960112d700fe9ad8bd79b18a45852\"><\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;Ballot Scout represents a major advancement in how we manage and track ballots,&rdquo; Raffensperger said in a statement. &ldquo;With this tool, voters in Georgia can stay informed and confident about their voting experience, knowing where their ballot is throughout the entire process.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Voters who use Ballot Scout and send in an absentee ballot will be notified from the platform &ldquo;via text, email, or voice call&rdquo; as to when their ballot is marked &ldquo;as issued&rdquo; and when it is received by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-secretary-of-state-there-will-be-a-recount\/\" title=\"Georgia Secretary of State: &#039;There Will Be a Recount&#039;\">county election officials<\/a> after the voter has cast his vote, according to the press release.<\/p>\n<p>Enhanced Voting <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EnhancedVoting\/status\/1820862160974614937\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">celebrated<\/a> the partnership in a post on X, claiming they are &ldquo;committed to fostering transparency and security in the voting process,&rdquo; and that Ballot Scout would offer &ldquo;reassurance and certainty&rdquo; to voters.<\/p>\n<p>But <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracy.works\/ballot-scout\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Ballot Scout<\/a> is a project of TurboVote, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/democracyfund.org\/idea\/2017-lessons-can-improve-the-vote-by-mail-experience-in-2018\/\">Democracy Fund<\/a>. TurboVote is a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracy.works\/turbovote\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">subsidiary<\/a> of Democracy Works, which &ldquo;provides grants to organizations that prioritize voter registration and mobilization within communities likely to vote for left-of-center candidates and policies,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/organization\/ballot-scout\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Influence Watch<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-7965d01ca1e98955cd1f42d3333c3a36 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-7965d01ca1e98955cd1f42d3333c3a36\"><\/div>\n<p>Democracy Works also receives <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracy.works\/our-supporters\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">funding<\/a> from Democracy Fund, which focuses on &ldquo;contribut[ing] to center-left and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/left-wing-fake-news-network-ramps-up-ahead-of-2024\/\" title=\"Left-Wing Fake News Network Ramps Up Ahead of 2024\">left-wing media organizations<\/a>, groups seeking to infringe on campaign speech rights, left-of-center voter registration organizations, and nominally non-aligned public policy organizations,&rdquo; according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/democracy-fund\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Influence Watch<\/a>. Its founder, eBay founder Pierre Omidyar, reportedly donated &ldquo;$450,000 to Super PACs advocating against Trump&rsquo;s election in 2016.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Center for Tech and Civic Life (CTCL) also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techandciviclife.org\/vote-at-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">promoted<\/a> Ballot Scout in 2020 ahead of the presidential election, listing it among other &ldquo;training&rdquo; resources for election officials. In 2020, CTCL and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.influencewatch.org\/non-profit\/center-for-election-innovation-research\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Center for Election Innovation and Research<\/a> (CEIR) received hundreds of millions of dollars from Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, dubbed &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2021\/10\/12\/the-2020-election-wasnt-stolen-it-was-bought-by-mark-zuckerberg\/\">Zuckbucks<\/a>,&rdquo; which they poured into election offices in predominantly left-wing areas nationwide, effectively creating a massive get-out-the-vote operation for Democrats.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/sos.ga.gov\/news\/partnership-ballottrax-adds-confidence-and-convenience-mail-voting\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Georgia<\/a> previously used <a href=\"https:\/\/georgia.ballottrax.net\/voter\/\">Ballottrax<\/a> to track absentee ballots, and several <a href=\"https:\/\/voteathome.org\/portfolio\/californias-ballot-tracking-service-who-is-using-it-and-how-does-it-impact-voter-examining-san-mateo-countys-adoption-of-the-california-examining-san-mateo-countys-adoption-of-the-california-confidenc\/\">other states<\/a> still use Ballottrax. Raffensperger&rsquo;s office did not respond to The Federalist&rsquo;s inquiry as to why the state switched to partner with a leftist-backed organization. <\/p>\n<p>Democracy Works <a href=\"https:\/\/www.democracy.works\/privacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">states<\/a> that individuals who use one of their services, like Ballot Scout, may have their information shared by Democracy Works with third-party service providers, &ldquo;partners,&rdquo; and law enforcement, amongst others.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8406c8b01fabc2bc6a5c60111d42a4fa fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8406c8b01fabc2bc6a5c60111d42a4fa\"><\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;State election officials telling voters they should use a service [should be] telling them exactly what that service is going to do,&rdquo; Ned Jones, director of the Citizens Election Research Network, told The Federalist. &ldquo;Nobody ever reads the privacy policy.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>While the Peach State has had no<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/georgia-house-passes-omnibus-election-reform-bill\/\" title=\"Georgia House Passes Omnibus Election Reform Bill\">-excuse absentee voting<\/a> for more than a decade, the system became overwhelmed during the 2020 election, in part due to &ldquo;remote electioneering,&rdquo; as research director at the Caesar Rodney Election Research Institute William Doyle explained for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/02\/15\/how-no-excuse-absentee-voting-allows-special-interests-to-manipulate-voters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Federalist<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Remote electioneering&rdquo; is an &ldquo;attempt to influence or solicit votes among absentee voters between the time they receive their absentee ballot and the time they submit it to their election office,&rdquo; Doyle explained. One group that encouraged this practice in 2020 was CTCL &mdash; a promoter of Ballot Scout.<\/p>\n<p>CTCL, which doled out Zuckbucks via its Covid-19 Response Grant Program, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techandciviclife.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/07\/Approved-Wisconsin-Safe-Voting-Plan-2020.pdf\">expected<\/a> recipients to &ldquo;Encourage and Increase Absentee Voting (By Mail and Early, In-Person),&rdquo; via expansion of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-zuckerberg-bans-president-trump-from-using-facebook-indefinitely\/\" title=\"BREAKING: Zuckerberg Bans President Trump from Using Facebook \u201cIndefinitely\u201d\">ballot drop boxes<\/a> and &ldquo;assistance&rdquo; in the ballots&rsquo; completion.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-73004d73e840cb6f4aafffd695a57739 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-73004d73e840cb6f4aafffd695a57739\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Brianna Lyman is an elections correspondent at The Federalist.
