That&rsquo;s how a free enterprise system works, and it&rsquo;s what made the United States the wealthiest nation in the history of the world.<\/p>\n<p>Musk echoed<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ronald-reagans-farewell-address-warning-coming-true-right-eyes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Ronald Reagan&rsquo;s<\/a> 1981 inaugural address when the nation was experiencing double-digit inflation. The newly-minted 40th president <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reaganlibrary.gov\/archives\/speech\/inaugural-address-1981\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>, &ldquo;In this present crisis, government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/3IlcDvXaUCw?si=ZFnJQQ1CKFQivTqy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Musk posted on X, &ldquo;The rise in prices (inflation) is caused by government overspending, which increases the amount of money faster than the increase in goods &amp; services output.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That is the vast majority of the problem. Inflation was particularly bad during the Covid years, as there was massive government spending, despite productivity plunging, as people were forced to stay home,&rdquo; he continued.<\/p>\n<p>The problem has continued even after the COVID years. And the spending increases the demand side of the economy &mdash; too much cash,&rdquo; Kudlow said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If you are going to spend more than you can produce, well, prices have to go up.
