Security surrounding presidential candidates has been heightened after the assassination attempt on former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>, as both Republicans and Democrats have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/4-democrats-who-have-sort-of-spoken-out-against-riots\/\" title=\"4 Democrats Who Have (Sort Of ) Spoken Out Against Riots\">condemned political violence<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Kamala Harris needs to be put on fire alive I will do it personally if no one else does it I want her to suffer a slow agonizing death,&rdquo; Carillo allegedly wrote on GETTR, a conservative microblogging website, on July 27, per the filings.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Harris is going to regret ever trying to become president because if that ever happened I will personally pluck out her eyes with a pair of pliers but first I will shoot and kill everyone that gets in my way that is a f****** promise,&rdquo; he also allegedly said.<\/p>\n<p>Using records from GETTR and other databases, the FBI identified Carillo and found his residence in Winchester, Virginia. Investigators also found records of a firearm purchase he made in February.<\/p>\n<p>Federal investigators searched Carillo&rsquo;s home and arrested him on Aug. 2, where they seized an RF-15 rifle, a 9 mm handgun, and thousands of rounds of ammunition.<\/p>\n<p>According to the filings, Carillo asked why he was being searched, and investigators told him it was because of his online postings. He made 4,359 messages that included threats to various people or groups, including 19 directed at the vice president.
