The man stood with us you know on the picket line. He&rsquo;s been there for workers throughout every, every bit of our walk and he&rsquo;s won in a state where Mitch McConnell&rsquo;s from. It&rsquo;s been a red state traditionally, he&rsquo;s won twice there,&rdquo; Fain said.<\/p>\n<p>He also floated Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), calling him an &ldquo;awesome guy for labor,&rdquo; saying that he is &ldquo;100% behind labor.&rdquo; Fain did say that, ultimately, Harris &ldquo;has to pick who she&rsquo;s most comfortable with.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he would have concerns getting UAW members to support Harris if she were to pick someone like Gov. Josh Shapiro (D-PA) or Sen. Mark Kelly (D-AZ), who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/unions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>unions<\/a> have expressed concerns over, he stressed that ultimately, the top of the ticket matters &mdash; pointing to Harris&rsquo;s union policies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t think it makes it impossible or harder. I mean, obviously, there&rsquo;s just candidates we think are better for labor. And ultimately, look, we know this, Kamala Harris is for labor. She&rsquo;s for working-class people,&rdquo; Fain said.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s the difference in what this election is about. Trump expects people to pledge loyalty to him. It&rsquo;s all about him.
