After the fight&rsquo;s conclusion, a devastated Carini reportedly cried,&nbsp;&ldquo;It&rsquo;s not fair&rdquo; in Italian.<\/p>\n<p>Two days before Yu-ting&rsquo;s fight and just a day before Khelif&rsquo;s, the IBA released a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/boxing-association-releases-game-changing-statement-boxer-disqualified-brutalizes-female-opponent-olympics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">bombshell statement<\/a> regarding the athletes&rsquo; inclusion in women&rsquo;s Olympic events.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;On 24 March 2023, IBA disqualified athletes Lin Yu-ting and Imane Khelif from the IBA Women&rsquo;s World Boxing Championships New Delhi 2023,&rdquo; the IBA said in its Wednesday release. &ldquo;This disqualification was a result of their failure to meet the eligibility criteria for participating in the women&rsquo;s competition, as set and laid out in the IBA Regulations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The association said the disqualification was necessary to &ldquo;uphold the level of fairness and utmost integrity of the competition.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Unspecified tests were conducted by the IBA, which found both boxers failing the standard for fair competition in female events.
