return false;\" title=\"Printer Friendly, PDF &amp; Email\"><span id=\"printfriendly-text2\" class=\"pf-button-text\"><i class=\"mdi mdi-printer\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p>President Joe Biden&rsquo;s federal interference in state and local election administration is unconstitutional, a lawsuit filed Thursday alleges. <\/p>\n<p>Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Missouri, the lawsuit contests <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whitehouse.gov\/briefing-room\/presidential-actions\/2021\/03\/07\/executive-order-on-promoting-access-to-voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Executive Order 14019<\/a>, a directive signed by Biden in March 2021 that instructed hundreds of federal agencies to interfere in state election administration by using taxpayer money to engage in voter registration and get-out-the-vote (GOTV) activities. The order required departments to craft &ldquo;strategic plan[s]&rdquo; detailing how they intended to comply with the edict and collaborate with so-called &ldquo;nonpartisan third-party organizations&rdquo; on voter registration efforts.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-7e176afa80bed63135e26ec763e233f0 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-7e176afa80bed63135e26ec763e233f0\"><\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;Missouri has a robust and effective election system in place, and it is the responsibility of the states, not the federal government, to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ga-secy-of-state-raffensperger-hires-company-with-radical-left-ties-to-manage-voter-registration\/\" title=\"Ga. Secy. of State Raffensperger hires company with radical left ties to manage voter registration\">manage voter registration<\/a> and election procedures,&rdquo; Secretary of State Jay Ashcroft, R-Mo., said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.mo.gov\/Ashcroft-Sues-Biden-Administration-Over-Executive-Order-on-Voter-Registration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a>. &ldquo;This legal action is not about partisan politics; it is about maintaining the balance of power between the states and the federal government as intended by our Founding Fathers.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Ashcroft, Arkansas Secretary of State John Thurston, R-Ark., and two local Missouri election officials are plaintiffs in the case.<\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs argue Biden&rsquo;s directive is &ldquo;unconstitutional and contrary to federal law.&rdquo; Specifically, they claim the edict violates the Constitution&rsquo;s establishment of separation of powers and &ldquo;imposes burdens and costs upon state and local government to respond to this federally mandated election scheme in violation of constitutional principles of federalism.&rdquo; They further contend it violates the Constitution&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/constitution.congress.gov\/browse\/article-1\/section-4\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">elections clause<\/a> and unlawfully &ldquo;directs federal executive branch employees to violate the Hatch Act &hellip; and engage in forbidden partisan political activity.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;President Biden unlawfully seeks to use federal government resources to aid Democrat campaigns by enlisting the immense federal bureaucracy in a get-out-the-vote and ballot harvesting campaign,&rdquo; the lawsuit alleges.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-64fbd7fc8247cfb3783639074dd35c0e fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-64fbd7fc8247cfb3783639074dd35c0e\"><\/div>\n<p>While often <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/02\/npr-runs-cover-for-bidens-federal-election-interference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">celebrated<\/a> by America&rsquo;s regime-approved media as a win for &ldquo;democracy,&rdquo; a closer look at the Biden-Harris administration&rsquo;s directive reveals a concentrated effort to weaponize taxpayer resources to boost Democrat voter registration and GOTV efforts. In the years since its implementation, independent media and good government groups have discovered that most of the &ldquo;nonpartisan third-party organizations&rdquo; colluding with the administration on voter registration are <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/08\/report-biden-is-coordinating-with-aclu-other-left-wing-groups-to-interfere-in-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/no-justice-clarence-thomas-doesnt-have-to-recuse-because-his-wife-has-political-opinions\/\" title=\"No, Justice Clarence Thomas Doesn\u2019t Have To Recuse Because His Wife Has Political Opinions\">extremely left-wing<\/a><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These operations have largely targeted Democrat-favorable demographics, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/31\/bidenbucks-plan-uses-native-american-school-children-in-voter-registration-scheme\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Native Americans<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/29\/targeting-felon-votes-with-bidenbucks-democrats-court-the-criminal-caucus\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">felons<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/16\/biden-education-department-doubles-down-on-taxpayer-funded-gotv-using-college-students\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">college students<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/29\/biden-admins-voter-drive-for-newly-naturalized-citizens-is-just-another-act-of-federal-election-interference\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">newly naturalized citizens<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>[EXCLUSIVE:[EXCLUSIVE:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/30\/exclusive-house-committee-gives-cabinet-secretaries-5-days-to-release-bidenbucks-docs\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">House Committee Gives Cabinet Secretaries 5 Days To Release &lsquo;Bidenbucks&rsquo; Docs<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A separate legal challenge contesting &ldquo;Bidenbucks&rdquo; was brought by Pennsylvania lawmakers earlier this year. The U.S. Supreme Court announced in June it will decide whether to hear arguments in the case on Sept. 30.
