Poll workers in Washington, D.C. work long hours \u2062from 6 a.m. \u200bto 9 p.m. and can earn between \u200c$250 to $300. To qualify, participants must be at least \u206316 years old,\u2063 undergo training, and, for supervisory roles, be registered voters. The goal is to address the shortage of poll workers, enhance civic engagement, and support free and\u200c fair elections, as highlighted\u2064 by the U.S. Election Assistance\u2063 Commission (EAC).
