Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia.<\/p>\n<p>Sean Patrick Cirillo, 34, of Atlanta pleaded guilty to transmitting interstate threats to injure <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-crowd-gasps-mtg-brings-cheatle-timeline-front-entire-country\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Greene<\/a>, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-ndga\/pr\/man-pleads-guilty-threatening-us-representative\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Justice Department news release<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The charges against Cirillo said that he called Greene&rsquo;s Washington, D.C., office on Nov. 8, 2023, and issued threats.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I got a bead on her. Like a sniper rifle. A sniper rifle.&nbsp; And I&rsquo;m gonna kill her next week. Receiving death threats on almost a daily basis is something I never expected when I entered office, but it is wrong and should never be tolerated,&rdquo; the statement said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m not the only victim with this threat of violence. My family is threatened. My staff is threatened. I even had to close my district office due to the potential of violence. It&rsquo;s wrong and never should happen,&rdquo; Greene said.<\/p>\n<p>Greene ended her statement on a characteristic note.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Threats of violence must be taken seriously.
