The\u200c case relates\u2062 to an \u200dincident that occurred \u2062in November 2021 when a six-year-old, referred to as L.P., received a dose of \u200bthe Pfizer \u2064vaccine at a clinic organized by the Windham \u200dSoutheast School \u200cDistrict and the Vermont Department of Health, despite\u200b previously stated parental \u200cobjections. The\u2063 court concluded that the PREP Act shields all parties involved from litigation \u2062concerning this case, and therefore, the family&#8217;s \u2064claims could not proceed.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<section>\n<p>A school district cannot be sued for administering a COVID-19 vaccine to a young child despite the parents&rsquo; explicit instructions against it.<\/p>\n<p>The Vermont Supreme Court ruled in favor of the Windham Southeast School District and the Vermont Department of Health on Friday, saying the organizations are not legitimate targets of the family&rsquo;s lawsuit and bringing an apparent end to a legal saga that has been in play since 2021.<\/p>\n<p>The issue began in November of that year as a 6-year-old, named L.P. in court records, was given one dose of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/state-attorney-general-makes-major-covid-vaccine-allegations-pfizer-new-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Pfizer<\/a> vaccine at a clinic hosted by the district and health department.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/mynbc15.com\/news\/nation-world\/school-cant-be-sued-after-child-received-covid-vax-against-parents-wishes-court-rules-vermont-windham-southeast-school-district-pfizer-vaccination-covid-19-pandemic-health-crisis-in-the-classroom\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">WPMI-TV<\/a>, prior to the clinic the 6-year-old&rsquo;s parents informed the school that their child was not to be vaccinated.<\/p>\n<p>An official at the school allegedly understood and acknowledged the parents&rsquo; orders.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>After the discussion, L.P. was given a nametag with another student&rsquo;s name on it.
