getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Those willing to spend more on their seating will also be given luxury options.<\/p>\n<p>The airline&rsquo;s new &ldquo;premium&rdquo; seating gives flyers the chance to snag a seat with additional leg room.<\/p>\n<p>Aviation expert Henry Harteveldt told CBS News that the moves would improve the customer experience.<\/p>\n<p>According to Harteveldt, the move will make flights &ldquo;more orderly and comfortable&rdquo; and will &ldquo;improve the airline&rsquo;s bottom line as well.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Southwest will also start selling tickets for late-night &ldquo;redeye&rdquo; flights.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/southwest-airlines-comes-criticism-letting-devious-passengers-exploit-boarding-system\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Southwest Airlines<\/a> customers responded to the move on social media platform X shortly after the Thursday announcement.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">i fly southwest because of the open seating policy &mdash; this is so dumb!!!
