Daniels, who co-authors Politico’s Playbook and serves as president of the White House Correspondents’ Association, shares insights on the “crazy” enthusiasm surrounding Vice President Kamala Harris as the likely Democratic presidential candidate following President Biden’s withdrawal from the race, a move that some in the corporate media have likened to George Washington’s exit from politics.

Daniels also addresses Harris’ potential candidacy, the DNC’s virtual roll call, and the challenges of distinguishing her campaign from Biden’s record while she remains his vice president, as highlighted in a Mediaite article promoting the podcast. However, McLaughlin notably did not inquire about why Daniels falsely accused Brian Kilmeade of “Fox & Friends” of making a racist comment, a claim that Daniels’ post on X helped to amplify.

Daniels and others labeled Kilmeade a racist after he criticized Harris for missing a speech by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to campaign at a sorority event in Indianapolis. They misheard Kilmeade, believing he said “colored” sorority, when he actually said “college.” This was confirmed by various listeners, including black radio host Charlamagne tha God, who called the outrage “ridiculous.”

Daniels had initially repeated a claim from a troll on X, which accused Kilmeade of making a racist remark. After the backlash, Daniels retracted his statement, admitting that he spoke to Fox News and learned that Kilmeade had indeed said “college.” He acknowledged that the audio was unclear but decided to trust Kilmeade and his team.

Fox News issued a statement condemning Daniels’ now-deleted tweet for misquoting Kilmeade. I reached out to McLaughlin for clarification but have yet to receive a response.
