Vance<\/a> (R-OH) has faced a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wjbf.com\/news\/u-s-world-news\/some-house-republicans-slam-vance-as-trumps-vp-pick-the-worst-choice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>chorus<\/a> of criticism since he was tapped to be Trump&rsquo;s running mate. During an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/audio\/podcasts\/axe-files\/episodes\/ce60c69a-9f76-11ee-84b4-472857128c4c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>interview<\/a> with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/david-axelrod\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>David Axelrod<\/a> released Thursday, Crenshaw voiced his own rebuke to the vice presidential candidate.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Crenshaw questioned whether someone who once called Trump Hitler should be the GOP leader&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">vice president<\/a>. I think it&rsquo;s logical to say that rhetoric can lead to making crazy people even crazier. And calling Trump Hitler? What do you do with Hitler? You should kill him,&rdquo; the Texan said on the <em>Axe Files with David Axelrod<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Wait a second; J.D. Vance calls him that,&rdquo; Axelrod interrupted.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s my point,&rdquo; Crenshaw retorted. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t understand it because I think he meant it at the time. (AP Photo\/Jose Luis Magana)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>After the former <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/bidens-top-10-blunders-of-2022\/\" title=\"Biden\u2019s Top 10 Blunders 2022\">president survived<\/a> an assassination attempt, some Republicans speculated that Trump-Hitler comparisons from public figures such as Vice President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/harris-says-people-rightly-compared-trumps-remarks-immigrants-hitler-rcna130491\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Kamala Harris<\/a>, Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA), comedian Kathy Griffin, and actor Robert DeNiro fueled the political violence.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Democrats and liberals in the media have called Trump a fascist. They&rsquo;ve compared him to Hitler,&rdquo; Sen. Rick Scott (R-FL) <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/scottforflorida\/status\/1812291270846366189?s=46\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>said<\/a> in a post to X following the assassination attempt. &ldquo;This isn&rsquo;t some unfortunate incident. This was an assassination attempt by a madman inspired by the rhetoric of the radical left.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Some Republicans have also voiced concerns over Trump&rsquo;s selection of Vance since he doesn&rsquo;t provide much electoral benefit or balance to the ticket.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He was the worst choice of all the options. It was so bad I didn&rsquo;t even think it was possible,&rdquo; one House Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/4793818-vance-vp-trump-house-republicans\/#:~:text=Some%20House%20Republicans%20slam%20Vance,pick%3A%20'The%20worst%20choice'&amp;text=A%20number%20of%20House%20Republicans,chances%20of%20winning%20in%20November\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>told<\/a> the <em>Hill<\/em>. &ldquo;Anti-Ukraine, more of a populist. He adds nothing to the Trump ticket. He energizes the same people that love Trump.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Conservative commentator Tomi Lahren also <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TomiLahren\/status\/1816513936319254604\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>called<\/a> the pick a &ldquo;bad move,&rdquo; warning that his past comments, particularly <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/campaign\/4794753-vance-childless-cat-ladies-blowback\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>calling<\/a> some in the Democratic Party &ldquo;childless cat ladies,&rdquo; will alienate suburban women.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Trump and other Republicans, however, have remained steadfast in their support of Vance on the ticket.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if he would pick Vance again now that Harris has become the likely Democratic nominee, Trump said &ldquo;No, I would do the same thing. He&rsquo;s doing really well.
