As a California native, Harris has connections with major Hollywood figures like George Clooney, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Shonda Rhimes. Chicago, the political home of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama, is also expected to play a significant role in the convention, especially after their endorsement of Harris.

With less than a month to transition from an event centered around Biden to one energized by Harris’s campaign, DNC organizers are working to revitalize a party that had previously struggled with enthusiasm for Biden, especially following his lackluster debate performance against Donald Trump in June.

Celebrity publicists have reported a surge in requests from clients eager to support the White House now that Biden has stepped aside. “Typically, I’m the one reaching out to my clients, but now they’re asking how they can help,” one publicist shared with CNN.

Producer Greg Berlanti remarked, “Biden’s selfless decision, combined with the hope and change that Kamala represents, has re-engaged many people I know in this election, and they are ready to advocate for the values that VP Harris has championed throughout her career.”

When asked about potential celebrity performances at the DNC, the Harris campaign directed inquiries to the DNC team, which did not disclose the lineup.
