Well, that&rsquo;s wrong. Because, by the way, if you wanna look at upper middle-class suburban neighborhoods, they don&rsquo;t have that patrol car, they don&rsquo;t have those police walking those streets. But what they do have? They have well-funded schools. What they do have is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/harvard-docs-say-trillions-in-reparations-needed-to-address-covid\/\" title=\"Harvard Docs Say Trillions in Reparations Needed to Address COVID\">home ownership<\/a>, high home ownership rates. What they do have are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/silver-lining-there-are-half-a-million-more-self-employed-americans-since-covid-19-began\/\" title=\"Silver Lining: There Are Half A Million More Self-Employed Americans Since COVID-19 Began\">thriving small businesses<\/a>. What they do have is access to public health and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/liberal-white-women-may-hand-biden-win-2024-poll-probing-mental-health-may-explain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">mental health<\/a> services.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>She then concluded by voicing her support for defunding the police. &ldquo;So, this whole movement is about rightly saying we need to take a look at these budgets and figure out whether it reflects the right priorities.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>How did leftist rioting and chaos in 2020 impact support for remarks like these?<\/p>\n<p>The Pew Research Center <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pewresearch.org\/short-reads\/2021\/10\/26\/growing--of-americans-say-they-want-more-spending-on-police-in-their-area\/ft_2021-10-25_policefunding_01-png\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">published findings<\/a> in October 2021 that provided some insight.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to 2020, a &ldquo;higher  of Americans want to see &lsquo;a lot&rsquo; more spending on police in their area,&rdquo; the poll concluded.<\/p>\n<p>After the chaos that ensued in the summer of 2020, Pew reported, &ldquo;Black adults, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/multiple-house-democrats-side-republicans-vote-condemn-border-czar-kamala-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrats<\/a> [are]  now much less likely than in 2020 to prefer decreased spending on police in their area.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>While Harris&rsquo; remarks did not explicitly mention race, this issue was a major factor in calls for police defunding, as many saw Floyd&rsquo;s death to be the result of racism in policing, causing a major boost in support for Black Lives Matter.<\/p>\n<p>On an additional note, concerning race, the same findings from Pew reported, &ldquo;Black and Hispanic Democrats [were] more likely than White Democrats to back increased spending on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/radical-left-wing-mob-overwhelms-local-police-storm-tesla-factory-grounds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">local police<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps Americans saw the havoc and destruction of 2020 and decided that Harris&rsquo; idiotic statements should be only that.<\/p>\n<p>Make no mistake, if Harris continues this course in 2024 to pander to far-left activists, regular people will suffer.<\/p>\n<p>Businesses and police departments will close and crime will run rampant. Streets will not be safe.<\/p>\n<p>Harris thinks this is what we want.
