He was supposedly sick for the second time in the course of a month and nobody saw him for days after the announcement. To replace him as the presumptive Democrat nominee, he endorsed <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/kamala-cant-win-on-policy-or-performance-so-the-media-will-make-this-campaign-a-race-war\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">his vice president<\/a>, a woman whose entire term in that office has been marked by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.katu.com\/news\/nation-world\/vp-harris-office-sees-high-rate-of-turnover-since-beginning-of-term\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wild turnover<\/a>, unresolved <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/22\/as-border-czar-kamala-harris-never-spoke-to-chiefs-in-charge-of-securing-border\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">problems<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2021\/11\/14\/politics\/kamala-harris-frustrating-start-vice-president\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">blame shifting<\/a> for those problems, and an irrefutable <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/01\/kamala-harris-quotes-as-motivational-posters-to-help-you-be-unburdened-by-your-brain-cells-part-3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lack of charm<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Kamala Harris is literally <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/11\/07\/only-kamala-harris-can-save-democrats-in-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">the reason<\/a> Joe Biden couldn&rsquo;t <em>not<\/em> run for a second term. If he hadn&rsquo;t, everyone knew she would have, and it was going to be the worst campaign ever, or at least tied with her first campaign for president in 2020. Unfortunately for Biden and his party, the already decrepit president&rsquo;s health deteriorated at <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/08\/bidens-debilitation-has-upset-the-media-democrat-partnership-but-not-for-much-longer\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">a much quicker pace<\/a> than anticipated, and now Harris will be the nominee anyway.<\/p>\n<p>But that doesn&rsquo;t change history and what everyone has known for almost four years &mdash;&nbsp;that Harris has been a complete failure as vice president, she isn&rsquo;t equipped for the job as president, and she didn&rsquo;t miraculously become popular. To the contrary, she&rsquo;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2023\/06\/26\/kamala-harris-poll-2024-election-biden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">least liked vice president<\/a> in the history of polling the question.<\/p>\n<p>A bizarre and woefully underwhelming endorsement from former President Barack Obama says everything. There was no reason to expect anything less than a blowout campaign event wherein Obama took to the stage and delivered a thundering speech as he declared his support for what could theoretically be the next somewhat black president of the United States.<\/p>\n<p>What happened instead was a staged and highly suspect phone call with all the enthusiasm and candor of a debt collections notice.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It appears that people feel very strongly that you need to be our nominee,&rdquo; is literally how Obama put it to Harris, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/f\/?id=00000190-ed46-dd86-ad91-ede777240000&amp;nname=playbook&amp;nid=0000014f-1646-d88f-a1cf-5f46b7bd0000&amp;nrid=0000014e-f115-dd93-ad7f-f915a6170001&amp;nlid=630318\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">transcript<\/a> of the call that all parties involved mutually agreed to release.<\/p>\n<p>There have been more favorable assessments of diarrhea.<\/p>\n<p>Obama&rsquo;s X account posted a 55-second video of Harris receiving the call &mdash;&nbsp;at <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/BarackObama\/status\/1816760809193677069\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">5 a.m.<\/a> on a Friday.<\/p>\n<p>A legitimate news media would declare that a scandal because it is. What just happened? What&rsquo;s going on? Something&rsquo;s not right.<\/p>\n<p>But here&rsquo;s the New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/07\/26\/us\/politics\/obama-endorse-kamala-harris.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headline<\/a>: &ldquo;Obama Endorses Harris for the Democratic Nomination.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The media continue humming along, talking about this freak show like it&rsquo;s a little unusual but nothing untoward. <em>The poll numbers&hellip; The fundraising&hellip; The rallies&hellip;<\/em><\/p>\n<p>This is all wrong and if the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/washington-post-calls-biden-exit-questions-conspiracy\/\" title=\"Washington Post Calls Biden Exit Questions &#039;Conspiracy\">media weren&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t lying, it would be impossible. <\/p>\n<hr><\/div>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The past week of this campaign has been anything but normal, yet the media seems to treat it as merely an intriguing moment in the usual political landscape.
