Republican Senator Josh Hawley \u200dfrom Missouri shared details\u200b from the anonymous whistleblower in a \u2064letter to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro \u200bMayorkas. The \u200dwhistleblower \u200bclaimed that the \u200bSecret Service rejected assistance from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/president-trump-pledges-orderly-transition-of-power\/\" title=\"President Trump pledges orderly transition of power\">local law enforcement<\/a>\u200d to use drone \u200dtechnology\u2063 for surveillance before the rally, \u200cdespite\u200b the technology \u200bbeing available. Following the shooting, the Secret Service\u200c reportedly reversed its decision, asking for the\u200b drone assistance to monitor\u200c the area after the \u2062attack.<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, FBI Director Christopher \u2063Wray confirmed that \u200cthe shooter had flown a reconnaissance drone \u200bnear the rally site just\u2062 two hours\u2063 prior, suggesting \u200bthe attack was premeditated. Secret Service\u2064 Director Kimberly\u200b Cheatle has resigned amid criticisms\u2064 and challenges in answering \u200dlawmakers\u2019 \u2062inquiries regarding the agency&#8217;s handling of security on that day. Josh Hawley, R-Mo., posted a letter on X addressed to Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas outlining the new allegations brough forward from an anonymous whistleblower.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;According to one whistleblower, the night before the rally, U.S. Secret Service repeatedly denied offers from a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/justice-dept-launches-regional-gun-trafficking-strike-forces\/\" title=\"Justice Dept Launches Regional Gun Trafficking Strike Forces\">local law enforcement partner<\/a> to utilize drone technology to secure the rally,&rdquo; Hawley wrote. &ldquo;This means that the technology was both available to [U.S. Secret Service] and able to be deployed to secure the site.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Secret Service, however, &ldquo;said no,&rdquo; and the whistleblower &ldquo;further alleges that after the shooting took place, [U.S. Secret Service] changed course and asked the local partner to deploy the drone technology to surveil the site in the aftermath of the attack.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">&#128680;&#128680; NEW &ndash; Whistleblower tells me <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/secret-service-declined-drone-use-before-trump-shooting\/\" title=\"Secret Service Declined Drone Use Before Trump Shooting\">local law enforcement partners &#038;amp<\/a>; suppliers offered drones to Secret Service BEFORE the rally &ndash; but Secret Service declined <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/UM0jfrMc9z\">pic.twitter.com\/UM0jfrMc9z<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Josh Hawley (@HawleyMO) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/HawleyMO\/status\/1816508920757662041?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 25, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>On Wednesday, FBI Director Christopher Wray <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/24\/wray-fbi-believes-trump-shooter-live-streamed-venue-two-hours-before-rally\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">confirmed<\/a> The Wall Street Journal&rsquo;s reporting last week that the Trump shooter flew a reconnaissance drone roughly 200 yards from the rally fairgrounds in Butler, Pennsylvania, just two hours before the event.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We think, but we do not know,&rdquo; Wray told the House Judiciary Committee, &ldquo;that he was live-streaming, viewing the footage.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Wall Street Journal <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/national-security\/trump-gunman-flew-drone-over-rally-site-hours-before-attempted-assassination-2d0e2e1a\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> Friday the failed assassin was able to fly the drone on a &ldquo;programmed flight path&rdquo; which &ldquo;suggests Crooks flew the drone more than once as he researched and scoped out the event site.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle resigned after the agency chief struggled to answer lawmakers&rsquo; questions in a Monday <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/homenews\/house\/4786857-secret-service-director-cheatle-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hearing<\/a> with the House Oversight Committee. The disgraced Secret Service chief <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/22\/secret-service-director-claims-there-are-no-recordings-of-radio-traffic-from-trump-assassination-attempt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> representatives her agency had no radio recordings from agents on the day that she admitted was the &ldquo;most <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/secret-service-director-confirms-no-disciplinary-action-taken-following-trump-assassination-attempt-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Secret Service director confirms no disciplinary action taken following Trump assassination attempt - Washington Examiner\">significant operational failure<\/a> of the Secret Service in decades.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>NBC News reported the Secret Service was warned about &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/donald-trump\/trump-rally-shooting-secret-service-identified-rooftop-security-flaw-rcna161783\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">days<\/a>&rdquo; in advance about the building used by the shooter. Cheatle said the roof was left unsecured because it was &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/17\/any-roofer-worth-his-salt-knows-secret-services-sloped-roof-excuse-is-total-nonsense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sloped<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I just don&rsquo;t think this is partisan,&rdquo; said Rep. Democrats are reportedly <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/23\/democrats-eye-j6-chairman-who-tried-to-eliminate-trumps-secret-service-protection-to-investigate-assassination-attempt\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">considering<\/a> Rep. Bennie Thompson, D-Miss., to serve on the panel, even after the Mississippi lawmaker sought to strip Trump of Secret Service protection earlier this year.
