NORAD employs a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lets-declare-the-pandemic-over-and-peacefully-coexist-with-covid-heres-how\/\" title=\"Let\u2019s Declare the Pandemic Over and Peacefully Coexist With COVID\u2014Here\u2019s How\">layered defense network<\/a> of satellites, ground-based and airborne radars and fighter aircraft in seamless interoperability to detect and track aircraft and inform appropriate actions,&rdquo; the news released states.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;NORAD remains ready to employ a number of response options in defense of North America.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first time NORAD has confronted Russian movement in the Alaskan ADIZ.<\/p>\n<p>In May, a NORAD <a href=\"https:\/\/www.norad.mil\/Newsroom\/Press-Releases\/Article\/3763959\/norad-detects-tracks-russian-aircraft-operating-in-alaskan-adiz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">news release<\/a> confirmed <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/wife-trump-russia-hoax-peddler-indicted-us-court-accused-foreign-agent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russian<\/a> aircraft had entered the zone.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This Russian activity in the Alaska ADIZ occurs regularly and is not seen as a threat,&rdquo; that release stated.<\/p>\n<p>However, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/07\/24\/politics\/norad-russian-chinese-bombers-alaska\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNN<\/a> reported that the participation of Chinese air power in such operations &ldquo;appears to be a new development.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In March, according to CNN, Air Force Gen. Gregory Guillot warned at a Senate hearing that Chinese military activity in the Arctic might be seen &ldquo;as soon as this year potentially.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have seen them in the maritime,&rdquo; he said at a Senate Armed Services Committee hearing, according to CNN. &ldquo;We have seen them under the cloud of a technical or scientific research, but we think it is certainly multi-mission, to include military.
