But kind of, like, parties through it, is very honest, very blunt. A little bit volatile. Yeah, like, does dumb things. But it&rsquo;s brat. You&rsquo;re brat. That&rsquo;s brat.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Additionally, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/lifestyle\/lifestyle-news\/kamala-harris-memes-charli-xcx-brat-coconut-tree-speech-1235954537\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>, Charli XCX has said that the term &ldquo;represents an attitude, a type of brazen confidence amid the messiness that has clearly struck a chord with Gen Z and millennials.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Indeed, the Charli XCX post has garnered a shocking number of views (over 50 million) and likes (over 320,000) as of early Tuesday afternoon &mdash; so it&rsquo;s little surprise that the Harris campaign has embraced the viral endorsement.<\/p>\n<p>On the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/just-in-third-circuit-court-of-appeals-grants-expedited-review-for-team-trumps-appeal-in-pennsylvania\/\" title=\"JUST IN: Third Circuit Court of Appeals Grants Expedited Review For Team Trump&#039;s Appeal in Pennsylvania\">team&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s official rapid response <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/KamalaHQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">X account<\/a>, the Harris campaign changed its header to the green background\/lowercase black font styling of the &ldquo;brat&rdquo; album, while a sizable contingent of Harris supporters are running with the meme of it all:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"cs\">kamala harris edit to 360 by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/saturday-night-live-cancels-live-audience-over-omicron-spike\/\" title=\"\u2018Saturday Night Live\u2019 Cancels Live Audience over Omicron Spike\">charli xcx<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>gen-z wants a brat presidency &#128133;&#127482;&#127480; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/INhEiPdQx3\">pic.twitter.com\/INhEiPdQx3<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dream for America (@DreamAmerica_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DreamAmerica_\/status\/1811428054809362637?\">July 11, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Couple of observations:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>It&rsquo;s clear that the Harris campaign is targeting younger voters &mdash; typically the most unreliable type of voter &mdash; with this new &ldquo;brat&rdquo; campaign.<\/li>\n<li>Her campaign, unlike Biden&rsquo;s, seems to have the wherewithal to run with Harris&rsquo; typical <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/kamala-harris-12-embarrassing-seconds-pure-word-salad-asked-climate-protesters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">word-salad gaffes<\/a> instead of trying to hide them under a rug. The above viral clip almost embraces Harris&rsquo; verbal fumbles, something in line with Charli XCX&rsquo;s description of &ldquo;brat.&rdquo;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And given this new direction of the Harris-[Insert future VP candidate here] ticket &hellip; it&rsquo;s more than fair to wonder if Republicans had grown just a smidgen too complacent with the way Trump was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cnn-data-analyst-cant-believe-latest-trump-biden-poll-numbers-like-speechless\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">clobbering<\/a> Biden in the polls, especially after a one-sided presidential debate and failed assassination attempt that gave Trump a surge of momentum in the polls.<\/p>\n<p>But now, that momentum seems to be shifting to the side of the Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>(It does remain to be seen if Harris has actual momentum or if her momentum is just an illusion because Biden&rsquo;s been so bad in comparison.)<\/p>\n<p>Have celebrity endorsements necessarily panned out in the past for Democrats? Of course not.<\/p>\n<p>But it would be both naive and incredibly arrogant to dismiss this seeming new strategy from the Harris campaign for one simple reason: It eerily echos the strategy used by Trump in his great 2016 presidential election upset win over Hillary Clinton.<\/p>\n<p>Remember how Trump took the insult &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/small-town-gun-shop-makes-hilarious-4-horsemen-billboard-signed-deplorables\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deplorables<\/a>&rdquo; and turned it into a rallying cry for his supporters?<\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s not all that different from embracing Harris&rsquo; propensity to speak on and on and on about nothing in particular.<\/p>\n<p>Even on a macro level, there are similarities.<\/p>\n<p>For better and for worse, Trump has successfully turned American politics into <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-hulk-hogan-tears-shirt-trump-live-air-iconic-moment-enough-enough\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">professional wrestling<\/a>. And he did that by drawing in swaths of people who cared little about politics before Trumpian bombast and showmanship became the new norm.<\/p>\n<p>Harris is similarly trying to draw in swaths of Gen Z voters (and perhaps even some older <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gen-alpha-loves-use-youtube-streaming-services-bad-thing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gen Alpha<\/a> voters for a potential second term) who normally wouldn&rsquo;t care a lick about politics &mdash; but who may dig the new viral clip of Harris proudly acting a fool to the tunes of Charli XCX.<\/p>\n<p>According to Real Clear Politics&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2024\/trump-vs-harris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">aggregate averages<\/a>, Harris is about 1.6 points behind Trump in what could shape up to be a stunningly competitive general election.<\/p>\n<p>For anyone sick of Bidenomics and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/charles-hurt-bidens-noxious-emission-in-glasgow\/\" title=\"Charles Hurt: Biden&#039;s Noxious Emission in Glasgow\">general direction<\/a> the country is taking, Harris should be taken as a new threat that Biden never was.
