a tweet with a single factual sentence and a question,&rdquo; Davis wrote on X. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-35260a8caee645beea7607401643a172 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-35260a8caee645beea7607401643a172\"><\/div>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/scotus-issues-crushing-ruling-against-j6-prosecutors-vacates-judgement-of-dc-circuit-court\/\" title=\"SCOTUS Issues Crushing Ruling Against J6 Prosecutors, Vacates Judgement of DC Circuit Court\">reporter&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s inquiry centered on a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanmdav\/status\/1815085238919348648\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">tweet<\/a> Davis posted on Sunday, in which he observed that &ldquo;Biden didn&rsquo;t drop out of the race until after the attempts to imprison and assassinate Donald Trump failed.&rdquo; The post was made shortly after a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JoeBiden\/status\/1815080881981190320\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">letter<\/a> announcing Joe Biden will not seek reelection was posted to the president&rsquo;s personal X account. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Do you think that is coincidence?&rdquo; Davis asked. <\/p>\n<p>In her smug request for comment, Washington Post reporter Mariana Alfaro asked The Federalist CEO to &ldquo;clarify&rdquo; his tweet and &ldquo;let [her] know&rdquo; if he believes &ldquo;Biden&rsquo;s announcement is connected to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/amnesty-international-strips-aleksei-navalny-of-prisoner-of-conscience-status-for-decades-old-comments-on-immigration\/\" title=\"Amnesty International Strips Aleksei Navalny Of \u2018Prisoner Of Conscience\u2019 Status For Decades-Old Comments On Immigration\">assassination attempt<\/a>.&rdquo; In her <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/marianaa_alfaro\/status\/1812551369468829715\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">July 14 X post<\/a>, Alfaro quoted Biden, who <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/elections\/2024\/07\/14\/biden-statement-on-trump-shooting-transcript-remarks\/74402018007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">untruthfully asserted<\/a> Trump &ldquo;already receives a heightened level of security&rdquo; and that as president, he&rsquo;s &ldquo;been consistent in [his] direction to the Secret Service to provide [Trump] with every resource, capability, and protective measure necessary to ensure his continued safety.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-398e8681e0f5f8f4a30086cb957b2f85 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-398e8681e0f5f8f4a30086cb957b2f85\"><\/div>\n<p>Davis first <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/johnddavidson\/status\/1814857215721021635\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> hours after the attempt on Trump&rsquo;s life that the former president&rsquo;s security detail had &ldquo;been asking for beefed up protection and resources for weeks, but [was] rebuffed time and again by Biden&rsquo;s DHS.&rdquo; Secret Service Spokesman Anthony Guglielmi <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SecretSvcSpox\/status\/1812451649387933912\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">initially denied<\/a> these allegations but&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/archive.is\/jnpYv\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">admitted<\/a>&nbsp;to The Washington Post this past weekend that the agency did, in fact, refuse requests by Trump&rsquo;s team for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/man-with-multiple-guns-explosives-found-dead-at-colorado-amusement-park\/\" title=\"Multiple guns and explosives discovered on deceased man at Colorado amusement park.\">additional security personnel<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Pulling no punches in his response, Davis flipped the script on Alfaro and demanded she answer for her outlet&rsquo;s history of promoting extreme left-wing conspiracy theories. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was wondering if you could clarify why you chose to spread such obvious lies and propaganda &mdash; do you believe it is your job to publish lies, falsehoods, and regime propaganda like the Russia collusion hoax, or the Kavanaugh hoax, or the Ukraine impeachment hoax, or the COVID natural origin hoax, or the Biden-isn&rsquo;t-senile-at-all-oh-wait-we-need-to-get-rid-of-him-because-he&rsquo;s-going-to-get-crushed-in-November hoax?&rdquo; Davis wrote. &ldquo;Let me know.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8b876b6771305b82c5dd178c6b184fc8 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8b876b6771305b82c5dd178c6b184fc8\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
