J.B. Pritzker&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/illinois\/article_f3ce91ba-4614-11ef-91a7-bf92be80e105.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">signed<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;the measure into law last week.&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/ilga.gov\/legislation\/billstatus.asp?DocNum=5457&amp;GAID=17&amp;GA=103&amp;DocTypeID=HB&amp;LegID=153750&amp;SessionID=112\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">House Bill 5457<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;provides that the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation may not revoke, suspend, or take any other disciplinary or non-disciplinary action against a license or permit issued under the law based solely upon an immigration violation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The federal government has taken a long time to review their documents to renew certain things, so we don&rsquo;t want them to be unemployed during that small time they are waiting for that to come,&rdquo; said state Rep. Barbara Hernandez, D-Aurora, when introducing the measure in the House.<\/p>\n<p>State Rep.
