and then dismissed more than <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/biden-drops-out-2024-election-ddffde72838370032bdcff946cfc2ce6\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">14 million<\/a> voters who nominated President Joe Biden for a second term. <\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, the Democrat Party&rsquo;s presumptive nominee was &ldquo;deposed in a coup,&rdquo; as tech billionaire David Sacks <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/DavidSacks\/status\/1815168526602387674\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> it, at the direction of former President Barack Obama, who was obviously <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/obama-allies-likely-worked-behind-scenes-pressure-campaign-biden-drop-out#:~:text=Amid%20the%20speculation%20that%20Biden,he%20could%20not%20defeat%20Trump.\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">behind<\/a> the entire operation. They only fretted about Biden&rsquo;s electoral ability to carry a far-left administration forward for another term. When Federalist Elections Correspondent Brianna Lyman <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/12\/democrats-calling-for-biden-to-drop-out-refuse-to-say-he-should-step-down-as-president\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> 17 Democrat lawmakers who called on Biden to quit the race this month whether they also believed he should forfeit the presidency, nearly all &ldquo;failed to answer the question and one pointed to his previous comments denying that Biden should resign as president.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Democrat Party&rsquo;s biggest players quickly coalesced around Biden&rsquo;s No. 2 for the August nomination, including Harris&rsquo; most formidable rivals in a potential convention contest; but Obama and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/harris-needs-earn-her-spot-ticket-prove-biden-isnt-just-handing-her-nomination-axelrod\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">key allies<\/a> were notably absent.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-634c965333229b0208c4e5e2a7fdee04 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-634c965333229b0208c4e5e2a7fdee04\"><\/div>\n<p>Govs. Josh Shapiro of Pennsylvania, Gavin Newsom of California, Jared Polis of Colorado, and Roy Cooper of North Carolina &ldquo;have all endorsed Harris in the wake of Biden&rsquo;s historic withdrawal,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3093298\/kamala-harris-shores-up-support-potential-rivals-show-their-cards\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according<\/a> to the Washington Examiner, and Gov. Gretchen Whitmer of Michigan <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/livecoverage\/biden-drops-out-election-2024\/card\/michigan-gov-gretchen-whitmer-endorses-kamala-harris-38yhB2IObHPqpuXby7xa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">has joined them<\/a>. But &ldquo;there are still challenges to Harris&rsquo;s quest to consolidate control.&rdquo; She has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/livecoverage\/biden-drops-out-election-2024\/card\/who-has-and-has-not-endorsed-kama-harris-for-president-YoGpDhIZ56S27Ls0mdkP\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">not yet received support<\/a> from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/obama-pelosi-other-top-democrats-make-a-fresh-push-for-biden-to-reconsider-2024-race\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ringleaders<\/a> in Obamaland, including Democrat Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi of California.<\/p>\n<p>Is Biden meanwhile, even cognitively aware of his surroundings right now? Virtually no one has heard anything from Biden aside from a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/carbolton\/status\/1815103907087138907\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bizarre letter<\/a> announcing his campaign cancellation with <a href=\"https:\/\/rollcall.com\/factbase\/biden\/topic\/calendar\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">no upcoming events<\/a> scheduled. <\/p>\n<p>His chief-of-staff, Jeff Zients, was <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/lansing\/status\/1815189867292430844\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> the one to break the news to the president&rsquo;s cabinet members, not the president himself. Are cabinet officials at all curious why Biden didn&rsquo;t personally tell them? Would they invoke the 25th Amendment to remove him from office now if the president is incapacitated?
