Noem backs Trump: &#039;The fighter our nation needs&#039;\">garnered significant \u200cattention<\/a> \u200con\u200c social\u200d media.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<section>\n<p>One of the most enduring films in American history that most people have never heard of is the 1950 drama &ldquo;All About Eve.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Without spoiling too much, that film effectively delves into a somewhat dark question: Just how far and low <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/biden-campaigns-attempt-hit-back-george-clooney-causes-confusion-laughter-cnn-mean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">will someone stoop<\/a> for fame and adulation?<\/p>\n<p>According to the movie, people will seduce, blackmail and otherwise destroy another person&rsquo;s life for that  of the spotlight.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward over 70 years later, and the timeless tale of &ldquo;Eve&rdquo; has sadly reared its ugly head again, thanks to the controversy surrounding YouTube star Steven &ldquo;Boogie2988&rdquo; Williams.<\/p>\n<p>To offer some background, Williams has had a winding YouTube career rife with controversies (yes, his Wikipedia <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Boogie2988\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">page<\/a> has its own section for &ldquo;Controversies&rdquo;)&nbsp; and successes (his channel boasts a whopping 3.97 million subscribers).<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Through it all, he has nestled into a niche role as one of the bigger and more notorious pop-culture content creators on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>Over the past couple of days, however, Williams has seen a new surge in notoriety &mdash; and none of it for good reasons.<\/p>\n<p>Appearing on the July 10 episode of &ldquo;LolcowLive,&rdquo; Williams was pushed on the topic of a cancer diagnosis he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VB-ugpL2WdQ\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">had revealed<\/a> on his own <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/huge-money-maker-video-reveals-vanderbilts-shocking-gender-care-threats-against-dissenting-doctors\/\" title=\"\u2018Huge Money Maker\u2019: Video Reveals Vanderbilt\u2019s Shocking Gender \u2018Care,\u2019 Threats Against Dissenting Doctors\">channel back<\/a> in November 2022.<\/p>\n<p>At the time, Williams claimed that he had &ldquo;a rare form of cancer,&rdquo; which he revealed was polycythemia vera, a type of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/he-made-plenty-of-mistakes-trump-trashes-colin-powell-one-day-after-his-death\/\" title=\"\u2018He Made Plenty Of Mistakes\u2019: Trump Trashes Colin Powell One Day After His Death\">blood cancer<\/a> that (in grossly oversimplified terms) causes one&rsquo;s body to produce too many <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/transgender-endocrinologist-warns-study-hides-dangers-of-high-dose-testosterone-in-females\/\" title=\"Transgender: Endocrinologist Warns Study Hides Dangers of High Dose Testosterone in Females\">red blood cells<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Fast forward to Wednesday&rsquo;s &ldquo;LolcowLive&rdquo; episode, when Williams was approached by fellow online content creator Steven &ldquo;Destiny&rdquo; Bonnell.<\/p>\n<p>(Bonnell is a well-known leftist who, apart from his debates with conservatives and streaming video games, is perhaps best known for having his wife leave him after engaging in an &ldquo;open&rdquo; relationship.)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>WARNING: The following clip contains language that some viewers may find offensive or disturbing.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/byvgw7FDlRs?si=lOVuGfUoxvN284BM\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;When Boogie was talking about the polycythemia, he mentioned a couple of things that I thought were interesting,&rdquo; Bonnell noted at the beginning of his interrogation. &ldquo;The first was that taking an exogenous hormone, TRT, testosterone, that that caused an increase in him developing this condition. So taking testosterone will not cause you to develop a cancer.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Not for this particular cancer. It won&rsquo;t.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Bonnell would continue: &ldquo;It will cause you to develop secondary polycythemia. The second thing that he mentioned was that his doctor ordered a sleep study.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;That&rsquo;s because one of the things that can cause your body to produce more red blood cells is if you have hypoxemia, which is a low amount of oxygen in your blood for an extended period of time.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And the reason he ordered that sleep study is probably because Boogie either has pulmonary obstructive something or he has, as he mentioned, sleep apnea.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;And sleep apnea, which is a decrease in oxygen overnight, can lead to a decrease in oxygen in your blood, which can lead to an increase in the production of red blood cells.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;All of the things that Boogie described, both the things that caused this and the treatments for it, are consistent with secondary polycythemia.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>(Williams looked positively nonplussed during this whole questioning.)<\/p>\n<p>When Williams finally did speak up, the conversation &mdash; understandably &mdash; grew extremely contentious.<\/p>\n<p>Williams fervently defended himself, but when the show&rsquo;s other co-hosts and Bonnell pushed back on him, particularly about medical records, he shut the conversation down.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You can see [my medical records] when I f***ing die,&rdquo; Williams said.<\/p>\n<p>Bonnell eventually left (but not before offering money to Williams in exchange for Bonnell privately and securely reviewing the records. He even offered to donate $5,000 to Williams&rsquo; treatments if he could produce definitive documentation of his cancer diagnosis) but Williams was still pushed a bit more on this suddenly hot topic.<\/p>\n<p>It is also worth pointing out that Williams, despite the best prodding and veiled accusations from Bonnell, has not admitted to faking his cancer diagnosis.<\/p>\n<p>This ugly incident has caused Williams to take a break from social media (his X account is deactivated, though his YouTube and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hundreds-layoffs-worlds-largest-streaming-site-admits-truth\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Twitch<\/a> channels are still up), but the backlash has been fierce regardless. A quick search of &ldquo;Boogie2988&rdquo; on X yields a torrent of angry voices.<\/p>\n<p>YouTube star Daniel &ldquo;KeemStar&rdquo; Keem, who also hosts that &ldquo;LolcowLive&rdquo; show, took to social media to shed some light on how Williams is currently doing &mdash; and that he would be making his medical diagnoses public at an undefined later date.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I just got off the phone with Boogie2988 , he not suicidal.
