If Biden is too senile to run for president, he is too senile to remain in office.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ef337a275229e712dfa6b3a4f3885e27 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-ef337a275229e712dfa6b3a4f3885e27\"><\/div>\n<p>Biden said in a statement it &ldquo;has been the greatest honor of my life to serve as your President. And while it has been my intention to seek reelection, I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and to focus solely on fulfilling my duties as President for the remainder of my term.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"qkBQwNAPY73cpTGoC4Dnj9xfhI5XOz2vaEJSiRsd60HlmeuryUF1gLV8KZMWb\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"zxx\" dir=\"ltr\"><a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/RMIRvlSOYw\">pic.twitter.com\/RMIRvlSOYw<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Joe Biden (@JoeBiden) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JoeBiden\/status\/1815080881981190320?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">July 21, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Biden is slated to speak &ldquo;in more detail&rdquo; about his decision later this week. The president also endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for the Democratic nomination.<\/p>\n<p>But if Biden is permitted to remain in office for the next six months, then the &ldquo;party of Democracy&rdquo; just signaled that 14 million primary voters engaged in nothing more than perfunctory democracy. That is, one in which votes mean naught because a handful of D.C. elites have the ultimate say when their power suddenly is put on the line.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats successfully kept Biden out of the public eye for four years. They smeared legitimate concerns about his cognitive state as &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/democrats-cant-boot-biden-without-denying-primary-election\/\" title=\"Democrats Can&#039;t Boot Biden Without &#039;Denying&#039; Primary Election\">cheap fakes&#038;rdquo<\/a>; and were willing to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ron-desantis-will-pardon-those-charged-with-covid-crimes\/\" title=\"Ron DeSantis Will Pardon Those Charged With COVID Crimes\">face jail time<\/a> in a bid to withhold audio tapes of Biden&rsquo;s interview with special counsel Robert Hur. Democrats even ushered Biden through their primary process, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2023\/10\/05\/politics\/dean-phillips-biden-leadership-change\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">preventing<\/a> candidates like Dean Phillips from having a fair shot after he began questioning Democratic leadership about Biden&rsquo;s cognitive ability.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bf0ca8e7d1e5f040dc875b0869c8cdf9 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-bf0ca8e7d1e5f040dc875b0869c8cdf9\"><\/div>\n<p>They did this because Biden wasn&rsquo;t a political liability at that point. Voters only caught glimpses of Biden, and when they did, it was largely for scripted remarks. But the debate changed that. Suddenly Democrats were forced to answer for Biden&rsquo;s mental acuity. But explaining away a man&rsquo;s inability to put together a coherent sentence, his repeated &ldquo;forgetfulness,&rdquo; or even his ability to walk off a stage unassisted was a question that had one answer: Biden is clearly incapable of carrying out the duties he sought to continue to do for another four years.<\/p>\n<p>But if Biden&rsquo;s incapacitation means he can&rsquo;t be a successful nominee, he certainly cannot remain in office.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats have two options. Encourage Biden to also resign from the presidency and let Harris assume the role, or Harris must invoke the 25th Amendment.<\/p>\n<p>As I <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/18\/if-democrats-want-a-new-nominee-they-need-to-use-the-25th-amendment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> just last week, the 25th Amendment requires invocation if a president is &ldquo;unable&rdquo; to carry out basic presidential duties. Biden is &ldquo;more likely to have verbal miscues and become fatigued&rdquo; outside the hours of 10:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., White House aides admitted to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.axios.com\/2024\/06\/29\/two-bidens-trump-debate-2024-president\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Axios<\/a>. Staying up past 4:00 p.m. is a bare minimum requirement of leading the free world. The New York Times <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/07\/04\/us\/politics\/biden-governors-health.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> that Biden told Democratic governors shortly after his debate performance that he tires out easily and needs more sleep and less work. Current and former officials who met with Biden in recent months privately said the president would become confused and &ldquo;listless,&rdquo; as described by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/07\/02\/us\/politics\/biden-lapses.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">The Times<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-fa14cd0317a47765633b260eb9ad6c4c fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-fa14cd0317a47765633b260eb9ad6c4c\"><\/div>\n<p>Democrats are playing politics at the expense of our safety and well being as a nation by allowing Biden to remain in the presidency. Biden&rsquo;s senility isn&rsquo;t just a political liability, but a security one as well. Democrats have the opportunity to put people over party.
