Despite \u200dthis, &#8220;Twisters&#8221; has been released in theaters.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<p><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><?xml encoding=\"utf-8\" ?><\/p>\n<section>\n<p>After a whirlwind PR tour touting climate-change scientists as superheroes, &ldquo;Twisters&rdquo; director Lee Isaac Chung appears to be strongly backing away from those sentiments.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Twisters,&rdquo; the sequel to the 1996 natural disaster film &ldquo;Twister,&rdquo; is about a group of scientists who are trying to collect data in hopes of &ldquo;taming&rdquo; or lessening the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/drone-fly-shows-happens-wind-turbine-meets-tornado-bad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">destructive impact<\/a> of tornadoes.<\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s a schlocky, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/curious-twisters-director-changing-stance-on-climate-change-narrative\/\" title=\"Curious: &#039;Twisters&#039; Director Changing Stance on Climate Change Narrative\">pseudo-sci-fi summer blockbuster<\/a> in every sense of the word, which is why the movie raised a few eyebrows when it was seemingly a vehicle to push <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/6-years-since-greta-thunberg-warned-5-years-stop-extinction-humanity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">climate-change alarmism<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In late June, Chung spoke to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-features\/twisters-director-lee-isaac-chung-sequel-climate-change-1235922437\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a> and seemed almost eager &mdash; at least in the Reporter&rsquo;s characterization &mdash; to push &ldquo;Twisters&rdquo; as a champion for climate-change policies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Anytime Hollywood is doing anything with climate change, I think we have to stay positive and let people have fun,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/viewer-beware-blockbuster-sequel-really-just-trojan-horse-climate-change-alarmists\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chung told<\/a> the outlet. &ldquo;As a production, we want to inspire people to embrace the natural world.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( !
