Despite\u200b the presence of swimmers and staff nearby, no one came to her\u200d aid \u200bas she struggled in the pool for 20\u200b minutes before finally being assisted. Her death was ruled a drowning.<\/p>\n<p>The club waged a legal fight to keep the public from seeing internal video of her death, but lost the case, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8newsnow.com\/news\/local-news\/las-vegas-athletic-club-motion-to-stop-video-evidence-release-denied\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KLAS-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The video showed that as Triplett was struggling, swimmers and staff <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/devil-came-son-man-accused-severely-beating-drowning-3-year-old-bathtub\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">went about their business<\/a>, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.8newsnow.com\/news\/local-news\/las-vegas-area-gym-video-surveillance-shows-swimmers-exercising-feet-away-as-woman-struggles-drowns\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KLAS-TV<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Triplett began her time at the club with an exercise routine that consisted of swimming and kicking her legs as she held onto the pool wall.<\/p>\n<p>  <script> \t\t\t\tif( ! getCookie( 'ff_subbed' ) ) if( typeof FFADS.replace_ict !='undefined' ) if( FFADS.replace_ict ) eval( FFADS.replace_ict ); \t\t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>At one point, Triplett appeared to stop kicking as she seemed to struggle. After her head went under the water, she began to try to leave the pool by holding onto the wall as she tried to reach the pool stairs.<\/p>\n<p>As she was struggling, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/vet-drowns-on-pool-stairs-as-people-pass-by-club-cant-stop-video-release-2\/\" title=\"Vet drowns on pool stairs as people pass by, club can&#039;t stop video release\">people swam past<\/a> her and walked past her as they entered the pool.<\/p>\n<p>After Triplett reached the pool stairs, she grabbed the handrails and tried to lift herself up.<\/p>\n<p>Instead, she fell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/officer-follows-instincts-saves-autistic-boy-drowning-bottom-pond\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">deeper in the pool<\/a> as her head went underwater.<\/p>\n<p>For 20 minutes, she remained there as people walked or swam past her.<\/p>\n<p>Some looked at her, but it was not until she lay in the water for 20 minutes that a person from another pool came over to pull her to the edge of the water, where others then helped retrieve Triplett.<\/p>\n<p>A video report on the footage by KLAS-TV can be seen <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=xZ-I4ImfTwQ&amp;rco=1\" rel=\"noopener\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>. <strong>WARNING: The linked video contains graphic images.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>According to a Southern Nevada Health District investigation report, it was one minute later when an employee of the club came to see what was going on.<\/p>\n<p>Members performed CPR on Triplett, but she died.<\/p>\n<p>Oganna Brown, an attorney representing the club, said the situation was unique.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;In 46 years, there has not been a drowning event,&rdquo; she said. &ldquo;This is an anomaly, and this was not a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/vet-drowns-on-pool-stairs-as-people-pass-by-club-cant-stop-video-release-3\/\" title=\"Vet drowns on pool stairs as people pass by, club can&#039;t stop video release\">direct drowning event<\/a>.
