However, a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/only-22-of-cable-news-is-news-study\/\" title=\"Only 22% of Cable \u2018News\u2019 is News: Study\">recent poll conducted<\/a> by Data for Progress shows the group&rsquo;s support has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dataforprogress.org\/insights\/2024\/7\/18\/we-polled-black-voters-heres-what-we-found\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>dropped<\/a> to 70% in the race between Biden, former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Donald Trump<\/a>, and third-party candidates, such as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/rfk-jr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Robert F. Kennedy Jr<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a two-way race between Trump and Biden, the poll shows that number rises to 79% of black female support for Biden.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, another recent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecut.com\/article\/black-women-biden-kamala-harris-survey-july-2024.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>survey<\/a> from the<em> Cut<\/em> shows an even sharper decline in black women&rsquo;s support for the 81-year-old candidate. Only 64% supported Biden in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/new-poll-shows-latino-voters-more-likely-to-vote-to-recall-newsom-in-california\/\" title=\"New Poll Shows Latino Voters More Likely To Vote To Recall Newsom In California\">poll conducted earlier<\/a> this week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The survey also indicated that a majority of black Democrats in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/poll-state-republicans-lead-democrats-by-six-points-on-generic-ballot\/\" title=\"Poll: State Republicans Lead Democrats by Six Points on Generic Ballot\">battleground states favor<\/a> a Harris candidacy should Biden step down. Sixty-three percent of voters across Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin think Biden should endorse the vice president if he drops out.&nbsp;Rep. Jim Clyburn (D-SC), an influential African American voice in the lower chamber, agrees that if Biden were to step down, he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3079562\/clyburn-back-kamala-democrats-focus-record-administration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>would support Harris<\/a>.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Rep. Meanwhile,&nbsp;Rep.
