The appeal was made on Wednesday. The federal judge had ruled that the lawsuit, \u2064which sought to obtain the classified documents through a Freedom of \u200dInformation Act request, was without merit \u2063and dismissed it. <\/p>\n<p>In \u2064the appeal, Smith argued that the judge had erred in dismissing the case and that the public has a right to access the classified documents in order to understand the \u2062actions of the President. <\/p>\n<p>The case has attracted significant attention\u2063 due to the potential implications of the classified documents on the Trump administration.
