and companies &mdash; out of California.<\/p>\n<p>Billionaire tech mogul (and apparent new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-elon-donate-45-million-per-month-trump-campaign-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump megadonor<\/a>) Elon Musk has said as much, and he appears ready to put his money where his mouth is.<\/p>\n<p>In a post Tuesday on his X social media platform, Musk blasted California Assembly Bill 1955, which was signed by Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gavin-newsom-ditches-california-city-moves-daughter-wealthy-area-big-money-private-school\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavin Newsom<\/a> on Monday.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/leginfo.legislature.ca.gov\/faces\/billTextClient.xhtml?bill_id=202320240AB1955\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AB 1955<\/a>, dubbed by Democrats as the &ldquo;Support Academic Futures and Educators for Today&rsquo;s Youth&rdquo; Act, arms public schools with newfound legal powers when it comes to information they can withhold from a child&rsquo;s parents.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;LGBTQ+ pupils have the right to express themselves freely at school without fear, punishment, or retaliation, including that teachers or administrators might &lsquo;out&rsquo; the legislation says. &ldquo;Studies confirm that LGBTQ+ youth thrive when they have <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-irreversible-consequences-of-school-closures\/\" title=\"The Irreversible Consequences of School Closures\">parental support<\/a> and feel safe sharing their full identities with them, but it can be harmful to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/after-military-takeover-country-activates-conscription-law-for-first-time\/\" title=\"Country enforces conscription law following military takeover\">force young people<\/a> to  their full identities before they are ready.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mercurynews.com\/2024\/07\/15\/newsom-signs-first-in-nation-bill-banning-schools-transgender-notification-policies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Mercury News<\/a> in San Jose put it: &ldquo;The bill makes California the first state to explicitly prohibit what critics called &lsquo;forced outing&rsquo; policies that some school districts adopted, requiring that they notify parents when students request to use a different name or pronoun than what&rsquo;s on their birth certificate or school records.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The legislation&rsquo;s critics have denounced AB 1955 for eroding parents&rsquo;
