He was 50 years old and survived by his wife and two daughters. He was a former fire chief and volunteer fireman in Butler County. He was killed while shielding his family from the gunfire that was intended to assassinate Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>She posted about Trump&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/mike-kelly-same-people-criticizing-trump-peddled-russia-collusion-hoax\/\" title=\"Mike Kelly: Same People Criticizing Trump Peddled Russia Collusion Hoax\">phone call<\/a> on her Facebook account, <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/16\/us-news\/widow-of-slain-rally-attendee-corey-comperatore-says-trump-called-her\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according to the <\/a><em><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/16\/us-news\/widow-of-slain-rally-attendee-corey-comperatore-says-trump-called-her\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He was very kind and said he would continue to call me in the days and weeks ahead,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I told him the same thing I told everyone else. He left this world a hero and God welcomed him in. He did not die in vain that day,&rdquo; she <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/14\/us-news\/who-was-corey-comperatore-victim-killed-at-trumps-pa-rally\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, it was <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3084438\/widow-of-victim-at-trump-rally-refused-call-from-president-joe-biden\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> that President Joe Biden attempted to contact her and offer his condolences. She declined to speak to him, however, saying that she was a Trump supporter, as was her husband.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">didn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t talk to Biden,&rdquo; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/07\/15\/us-news\/corey-comperatores-widow-refused-biden-call-after-trump-rally-shooting\/\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Comperatore said<\/a>. &ldquo;I didn&rsquo;t want to talk to him. My husband was a devout Republican, and he would not have wanted me to talk to him.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>She elaborated on why she decided not to talk to Biden. She claimed she did not have any ill will toward Biden; she just preferred not to talk to him and was apolitical.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t have any ill will toward Joe Biden,&rdquo; she told the Post. &ldquo;I&rsquo;m not one of those people that gets involved in politics.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I support Trump. That&rsquo;s who I&rsquo;m voting for, but I don&rsquo;t have ill will toward Biden,&rdquo; Comperatore said. &ldquo;He didn&rsquo;t do anything bad to my husband.
