The police suggest that an accident may have taken place.<\/p>\n<p>A post shared on X, formerly known as Twitter, purports to show video of the missing teen being harassed and beaten. The video shows what appears to be a Snapchat story of a young man being brutally beaten.<\/p>\n<p>The text overlay says, &ldquo;Jay slater everyone this was posted on live leak about 1 hour ago since been deleted.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The caption reads, &ldquo;Not sure Appears to be jay slater getting hiding.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The claim is inaccurate. The video is over a<span>&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/vk.com\/video35769911_169720814\">decade old<\/a><span>&nbsp;<\/span>was uploaded to a Russian social media site called Vkontakte. Google translates the title of the video as, &ldquo;I&rsquo;ll crush Allah like a rat.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>DNA testing of the discovered remains will be carried out to confirm that it is Slater&rsquo;s body,<span>&nbsp;<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.independent.co.uk\/news\/uk\/home-news\/jay-slater-body-found-missing-tenerife-news-update-b2579983.html\">The Independent<\/a><span>&nbsp;<\/span>reported.
