When asked about Trump in 2016, Assange said that he would publish information on him if it\u2019s available.<\/p>\n<p><span><strong>Fact Check: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Assange pleaded guilty to charges involving military secrets last month, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/assange-justice-department-plea-wikileaks-saipan-australia-00eb380879ff636cc9b916f82f82ed40\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AP News<\/a>. This plea was part of a deal that guarantees his liberty after years in a United Kingdom prison and a prison in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London, the outlet reported.<\/p>\n<p>A Facebook post shows images of Kelly and Assange.<\/p>\n<p>It reads, \u201cMegyn Kelly asked Julian Assange \u2018Why doesn\u2019t WikiLeaks report dirt on Trump?\u2019 Assange replied, \u2018There isn\u2019t any.&#8217;\u201d Text overlaid on the image reads, \u201cThis is why they feared him\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The post is inaccurate, however. There are no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-does-this-photo-show-an-israeli-clergyman-blessing-guns\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Does This Photo Show An Israeli Clergyman Blessing Guns?\">credible news reports<\/a> to suggest that this conversation took place. <span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2023\/04\/07\/fact-check-real-photo-assange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">(<\/a><\/strong><\/span><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/checkyourfact.com\/2023\/04\/07\/fact-check-real-photo-assange\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RELATED: Is This A Real Photo Of Julian Assange?)<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>The photos of Assange and Kelly are taken from a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/transcript\/assange-talks-revealing-the-truth-through-wikileaks-ramos-neutrality-not-always-an-option-for-journalists\"><span>Fox News<\/span><\/a><span>  interview. Nowhere in the included transcript do they have the alleged conversation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>  Around the 3:16 timestamp in the Fox News video, Kelly says, \u201cI got to ask you about the U.S. election. As you point out, you\u2019re not an American citizen.
