In addition, more than 85% of respondents think Biden is \u201ctoo old for a second term,\u201d according to the same <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/is-america-doomed-alarming-polls-of-pro-socialism-pro-violence-gen-z-say-so\/\" title=\"Is America Doomed? Alarming Polls of Pro-Socialism, Pro-Violence Gen Z Say So\">poll shared<\/a> by the outlet.<\/p>\n<p>The X post claims Democrats have purportedly missed the deadline to remove Biden from the 2024 election ballot in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Nevada. The post was made in reply to a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/cenkuygur\/status\/1810340068797923788\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">previous X post<\/a> from Cenk Uygur, host of The Young Turks, who said Democrats deserve to lose the 2024 election if they do not replace Biden as their party\u2019s nominee.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cCenk, the issue is the Democrats missed the deadline to remove Biden off the ballot in certain states like Wisconsin, Georgia or Nevada,\u201d the X post made in response to Uygur\u2019s post reads.<\/p>\n<p>The claim is false. A <a href=\"https:\/\/elections.wi.gov\/candidates\/federal-candidates#230548828-3602672793\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">memo<\/a> shared to the Wisconsin Federal Elections Commission\u2019s website indicates that candidates running for President must have their name certified by September 3 in order to appear on the state\u2019s ballot.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe names of candidates for President and Vice President for these parties are placed on the General Election ballot when their names are certified by the state or national chairperson to the Wisconsin Election Commission no later than 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 3, 2024,\u201d the memo states. According to the memo, candidates must also file a statement declaring their candidacy with the Wisconsin Federal Election Commission by the same deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Likewise, Nevada also has a September 3 deadline for the \u201cmajor parties\u201d to \u201ctell the Nevada Secretary of State\u2019s office the name of their candidates,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.reviewjournal.com\/news\/politics-and-government\/nevada\/could-joe-biden-be-replaced-on-nevadas-ballot-3081017\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Las Vegas Review-Journal<\/a> reported on July 5, citing a 2023 regulation added to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvsos.gov\/sos\/home\/showpublisheddocument\/13075\/638446205331930000\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nevada Administrative Code<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson for the Nevada Secretary of State Francisco Aguilar\u2019s Office confirmed the September 3 deadline in an email to Check Your Fact.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cEach <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/first-trans-state-senator-predicts-future-trans-president\/\" title=\"First Trans State Senator Predicts Future Trans President\">major political party<\/a> must provide the names of the party\u2019s respective candidates for President and Vice President of the United States to the Secretary of State by not later than 5 p.m. on the first business day of September of the year of a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/are-covid-case-surges-more-fake-news\/\" title=\"Are COVID Case Surges More Fake News?\">presidential election<\/a>. So this will be September 3, 2024 this year because September 2 is Labor Day,\u201d the spokesperson said, referencing a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leg.state.nv.us\/Register\/RegsReviewed\/%24R010-23A.PDF\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">regulation<\/a> adopted by the Nevada Secretary of State\u2019s office.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, a spokesperson for Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger\u2019s Office denied the claim\u2019s validity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThat is an inaccurate claim,\u201d the same spokesperson said.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/law.justia.com\/codes\/georgia\/2022\/title-21\/chapter-2\/article-4\/part-2\/section-21-2-153\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Georgia Code 21-2-153<\/a>, candidates running for president qualify for the election \u201cbeginning at 9:00 A.M. on the Monday of the thirty-fifth week prior to the November general election in the year in which a presidential election shall be held and shall cease qualifying at 12:00 Noon on the Friday immediately following such Monday, notwithstanding the fact that any such days may be legal holidays.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, on July 11, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politifact.com\/factchecks\/2024\/jul\/11\/tweets\/deadline-has-not-passed-in-wisconsin-to-replace-bi\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PolitiFact<\/a> reported the claim was false, though the outlet only fact-checked the claim regarding the deadline for Wisconsin\u2019s ballot.
