Ultimately, the summary suggests that there is a need for a deeper understanding of \u200cIVF\u200b and its implications among the American public.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Corporate media polls, including a new one from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research, suggest Americans overwhelmingly support the creation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/the-global-fertility-industry-seeks-to-erase-women-from-procreation-one-manufactured-egg-at-a-time\/\" title=\"Global fertility industry erases women from procreation, one artificial egg at a time.\">test tube babies<\/a> via in vitro fertilization. There is an unreconciled discrepancy in that data, however, since a significant chunk of U.S. adults also disagree with the unethical methods that Big Fertility has adopted as standard practice for IVF.<\/p>\n<p>AP-NORC <a href=\"https:\/\/apnorc.org\/projects\/most-support-protecting-access-to-ivf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recently determined<\/a>, after surveying more than 1,000 respondents in June, that a majority of U.S. adults, 62 percent, favor shielding IVF from oversight and regulation.<\/p>\n<p>The \u201cmajority\u201d element of the seemingly apparent support for IVF goes away, however, when pollsters pressed respondents on their feelings about embryo destruction. <\/p>\n<p>While 25 percent of U.S. adults said they support banning the destruction of embryos, just 33 percent of respondents claimed they are opposed. The plurality of respondents claimed not to have an opinion on the matter. <\/p>\n<p>AP-NORC noticed that \u201cthe public is more divided regarding the fate of unused embryos produced during IVF and many lack firm opinions about this aspect of the process.\u201d Yet, the Associated Press focused on support for IVF instead of this important nuance in its coverage of the results.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMore than 6 in 10 U.S. adults support protecting access to IVF,\u201d the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/poll-abortion-ap-ivf-election-3adcb634d5d99d9ebfcc7a28530b1487\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AP headline<\/a> highlighting the poll results states.<\/p>\n<p>The real nail in the coffin came when nearly half of U.S. adults, 46 percent, told AP-NORC that the statement \u201chuman life begins at conception\u201d (something <a href=\"https:\/\/www.epm.org\/resources\/2011\/Apr\/27\/when-does-life-begin-quotes-many-sources\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">modern science<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/acpeds.org\/position-statements\/when-human-life-begins\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">medicine<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.supremecourt.gov\/opinions\/21pdf\/19-1392_6j37.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">many states<\/a>, and even <a href=\"https:\/\/nrlc.org\/nrlnewstoday\/2021\/01\/even-very-pro-choice-biologists-acknowledge-a-human-life-begins-at-fertilization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pro-abortion biologists<\/a> have repeatedly reaffirmed) \u201cso a fertilized egg is a person with the same rights as a pregnant woman\u201d represents their views \u201cvery\u201d or at least \u201csomewhat well.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Reproductive tech like IVF, however, blatantly infringes on those rights by denying embryos a chance at<strong> <\/strong>survival outside of a lab via implantation in a womb.<\/p>\n<p>In fact, IVF as a majority of facility facilities in the United States practice it today requires harvesting and fertilizing multiple eggs to increase the chances of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/gop-led-bill-protects-ivf-industry-but-not-the-babies-it-routinely-kills\/\" title=\"GOP-Led Bill Shields IVF Industry, Neglects Lives It Ends\">successful petri dish conception<\/a>. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdc.gov\/art\/artdata\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hundreds of thousands<\/a> of IVF cycles that occur in the United States each year mean many little lives are serially created only to<a href=\"https:\/\/www.geneticsandsociety.org\/article\/17-million-human-embryos-created-ivf-thrown-away\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> be destroyed at a later date.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>AP noted that \u201cthis view is in tension with some aspects of IVF care\u201d but remained adamant that Americans oppose the pro-life push\u00a0\u201cfor broader measures that would give rights and protections to embryos and fetuses.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>It should come as no surprise that the same outlets that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nationalreview.com\/2022\/05\/abortion-polls-are-garbage\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">routinely<\/a> use <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/08\/look-how-even-democrat-opinion-shifts-on-abortion-laws-when-polls-stop-using-leftist-framing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">poorly worded polls<\/a> to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/07\/14\/associated-press-poll-is-corporate-medias-latest-language-twisting-exercise-in-advancing-abortion-extremism\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">advance their abortion agenda<\/a> have applied the same tactics to their coverage of IVF.<\/p>\n<p>Discrepancies like the ones present in the AP-NORC poll aren\u2019t anomalies meant to be ignored or minimized just because they do not fit the framing of reproductive technology that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dems-lost-all-credibility-on-social-distancing-after-biden-celebrations\/\" title=\"Dems Lost All Credibility On Social Distancing After Biden Celebrations\">corporate media<\/a> like AP prefers. The real question pollsters should be asking is not \u201cDo a majority of Americans support IVF?\u201d but \u201cDo a majority of Americans understand what it entails?\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The poll defines IVF as a \u201ctype of fertility treatment where eggs are combined with sperm outside the body in a lab to form an embryo\u201d but did not mention that the majority of the manufactured embryos will be <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/02\/02\/theres-only-one-way-for-the-1-million-embryos-stuck-in-frozen-orphanages-to-make-it-out-alive-adoption\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">abandoned in freezers<\/a> (which <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hfea.gov.uk\/treatments\/fertility-preservation\/embryo-freezing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">hurts<\/a> an embryo\u2019s survival chances) or discarded after <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/07\/orchid-healths-genome-testing-promises-healthy-babies-but-delivers-morally-deplorable-eugenics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">genetic grading<\/a> that lets parents handpick which of their <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/08\/popular-genetic-testing-pits-unborn-siblings-against-each-other-and-the-highest-scorer-gets-to-live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">children will get a chance at life<\/a>. Nor did the poll disclose any of the other morally and ethically questionable practices that only exist because of IVF, including the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/08\/05\/when-sperm-and-eggs-are-monetized-human-existence-becomes-transactional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">serial sale of gametes<\/a> and the creation of <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/14\/california-bill-would-make-insurance-fund-unlimited-attempts-to-create-motherless-and-fatherless-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">motherless and fatherless<\/a> children.<\/p>\n<p>If more Americans understood that IVF in most cases will result in the infringement of a baby\u2019s natural right to life via the mass destruction of embryos, the \u201cmajority\u201d number touted by AP would likely dwindle.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
