Seattle voters are\u2063 faced with a decision to \u2062approve a massive $1.5 billion transportation levy<\/a>\u200c that \u200cwould cost homeowners an average of $546 \u2062a year.\u2063 Mayor \u200bBruce Harrell approved the bill, \u200bwhich is the largest tax proposal in the\u2063 city’s history, leaving it \u200cup to voters to decide in the \u200bupcoming November election. The levy aims to\u200b cover expenses related<\/a> to building sidewalks, paving streets, repairing bridges, and improving transit connections over the next eight years.
