Despite claims of discontinuing\u200d DEI efforts, the military has actually ramped \u2062them up, including establishing a new \u2063DEI Steering Committee. Taxpayers are required to fund transgender treatments \u2064for soldiers and their \u200cchildren, \u200bwhile drag shows on military property continue despite objections.<\/p>\n<p>Military medical\u2062 providers offer\u2063 transgender interventions to soldiers&#8217;\u200d children without\u2063 parental\u200b knowledge, with teachers \u200ctrained to \u2062facilitate\u2064 access to these interventions. DODEA, overseeing 160 \u200bschools for military children, has faced criticism for pushing queer practices and withholding information. The military&#8217;s history of\u2062 defying policy on sexual politics is highlighted, \u2064with transgender soldiers serving against regulations\u2064 under various presidents.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration \u200bhas promoted officers who support race and\u200d sex\u200b politics, despite misleading claims about\u2063 military practices. \u2062DODEA&#8217;s use of taxpayer resources to promote \u2062sexual\u2063 extremism and racial enmity to soldiers&#8217; children\u200c is ongoing, with secrecy surrounding \u200csexual education. The report includes examples of textbooks quizzing children on homosexuality \u200cand promoting diverse \u200band inclusive \u2062books.<\/p>\n<p>The military&#8217;s push for queer ideologies on children, including \u200busing LGBT books and facilitating secret chatrooms, is evident. Employees \u2064advocate for\u2064 ending heteronormativity and \u2063recruiting children \u2062into queer\u200c sexuality practices. The report \u2064raises concerns about the \u2064influence \u200dof sexual \u2063politics on military policies and \u2062practices \u200btowards soldiers&#8217; children.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>Congressional hearings have not checked Pentagon \u201cdiversity, equity and inclusion\u201d policies that include helping soldiers\u2019 kids get life-altering transgender surgeries and hormones without their parents\u2019 knowledge, finds a report out Thursday. The <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1YeueUfJVdsGRykCwQT8Jj8FFjpMxiAJi\/view\">report<\/a> from OpenTheBooks, a government spending watchdog, also finds the military told Congress and the public it was ending DEI efforts while actually embedding them deeper into U.S. military agencies and establishing a new \u201cDEI Steering Committee.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The report comes as Congress works on reauthorizing billions in Pentagon spending through the National Defense Authorization Act. Last year\u2019s NDAA <a href=\"https:\/\/www.military.com\/daily-news\/2023\/12\/07\/pentagon-abortion-transgender-policies-safe-diversity-programs-take-hit-compromise-defense-bill.html\">continued <\/a>requiring taxpayers to fund transgender treatments for soldiers and their children. Twenty House Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/09\/28\/18-house-republicans-help-democrats-kill-amendment-defunding-pentagon-pride-month-parties\/\">joined <\/a>all Democrats in defeating a measure to defund drag shows on U.S. military property, despite evidence many are marketed to children.<\/p>\n<p>Records show <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/29\/dod-prompts-gender-dysphoria-among-military-kids-and-hides-health-records-from-parents\/\">thousands <\/a>of U.S. military members\u2019 children have already used taxpayer-provided health insurance to obtain transgender interventions that multiple European countries have recently restricted from children after medical review. Transgender interventions can <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Detrans-Stories-Escaping-Gender-Ideology\/dp\/1684515017\">leave children disabled for life<\/a> with heart, liver, bone, mental, and more serious, debilitating, and expensive side effects.<\/p>\n<p>Online U.S. military medical records <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/04\/29\/dod-prompts-gender-dysphoria-among-military-kids-and-hides-health-records-from-parents\/\">hide from soldiers<\/a> detailed medical information about their children ages 13 to 17. Military medical providers on bases and in DOD K-12 schools offer soldiers\u2019 kids access to transgender interventions without their parents\u2019 knowledge.<\/p>\n<p>Teacher training offered in 2021 via the Pentagon\u2019s Education Activity agency, or DODEA, explained how to help <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-u-s-military-hides-push-for-sex-changes-in-soldiers-kids\/\" title=\"Report: U.S. Military Hides Push For Sex Changes In Soldiers&#039; Kids\">soldiers\u2019 kids access life-altering transgender interventions<\/a> on the public dime without their parents\u2019 knowledge, the OpenTheBooks report notes. The training also <a href=\"https:\/\/dc.claremont.org\/grooming-future-revolutionaries\/\">recommended <\/a>introducing queer ideology to soldiers\u2019 children \u201cas young as 4 years old.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese children are subject to frequent moves and unique family stressors, making them particularly vulnerable to the emotionally manipulative pedagogical methods described in the report,\u201d write the report authors, Adam Andrzejewski and Thomas Smith.<\/p>\n<h2>Ducking Elected Civilian Oversight<\/h2>\n<p>The report also highlights that the DODEA has been extremely secretive about its use of public institutions and billions in tax dollars to push queer practices on soldiers\u2019 children. DODEA routinely stonewalls members of Congress and citizens seeking information, such as salaries, curricular materials, and job titles, that is legally public and therefore divulged by every other school district in America, the report says.<\/p>\n<p>DODEA also has been \u201cdeleting public access to links\u201d to curricular and other publicly funded materials after transparency prompted public outcry, found <a href=\"https:\/\/openthebooks.substack.com\/p\/pentagon-secretly-institutionalized\">an earlier investigation<\/a>. OpenTheBooks has been able to find, it said, that \u201cMillions of dollars have been found to go to purveyors of DEI-related content used in the classroom.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Even when pretending to respond to transparency requests, DODEA has blacked out even the names of what public officials serve on the agency\u2019s new \u201cDEI Steering Committee.\u201d Here, for example, is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.openthebooks.com\/assets\/1\/6\/1.23__DoDEA_Steering_Committee_Calendars_1.pdf\">one of multiple documents<\/a> DODEA divulged in response to an OpenTheBooks records request. Nearly all information is blotted out, making the disclosure functionally useless and therefore out of compliance with the intent of federal open-records law.<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>DODEA oversees 160 schools, in the United States and abroad, for more than 69,000 children of U.S. military members. Drawing on open-records requests, whistleblowers, and other reports, this OpenTheBooks report covers fiscal years 2017 to 2023, \u201cwith a specific focus on policy at the agency from 2020.\u201d DODEA\u2019s fiscal year 2023 budget was $2.26 billion.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. military has a long history of disobeying law and policy from Congress and the commander-in-chief on behalf of sexual politics, as I detail in chapter five of my new book, <a href=\"https:\/\/bookshop.org\/p\/books\/false-colors-the-flag-of-our-occupation-joy-pullmann\/20707173?ean=9781684515875\"><em>False Flag: Why Queer Politics Mean the End of America<\/em><\/a>. For years, both homosexual and transgender soldiers \u201cserved in direct contradiction\u201d to bans \u201con their military eligibility, with the knowledge and support of their commanding officers.\u201d This occurred under Presidents Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt\u2019s pretty insurrectionary that hundreds, if not thousands, of soldiers with publicly acknowledged gender dysphoria continued to work in the military while legally ineligible to do so \u2014 at a time it was against official military policy to employ transgender soldiers,\u201d I write. \u201cThat means that dozens, if not hundreds, of military officers also knowingly defied military policy \u2014 and therefore their oaths to obey their commanders, especially their commander in chief, as prescribed in the Constitution.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Biden administration has proceeded to <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/06\/24\/congress-must-do-more-to-halt-the-biden-dods-woke-agenda-thats-destroying-our-military\/\">promote many<\/a> of these policy-defying officers on the basis of their support for race and sex politics. Indeed, Biden Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/03\/31\/bidens-department -of-defense-denies-drag-shows-on-bases-even-when-confronted-with -undeniable-evidence\/\">falsely declared<\/a> to Congress last year that the U.S. military does not sponsor drag performances. And Rep. Jim Banks, R-Ind., says the U.S. military <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2023\/05\/09\/us-navy-lied-about-recruitment-program-featuring-drag-queen-rep-jim-banks\/\">lied to him<\/a> about funding a Navy seaman wearing drag in military promotional videos on social media.<\/p>\n<p>In line with this long line of military defiance against law and command to promote cultural Marxism, it appears DODEA continues to use its massive taxpayer resources to push sexual extremism and racial enmity on soldiers\u2019 children while often claiming the opposite.<\/p>\n<h2>Military Pushing Queer on Kids<\/h2>\n<p>The OpenTheBooks report includes images of a textbook, Goodheart-Willcox\u2019s Comprehensive Health Skills for Middle School, that \u201cis used across DoDEA for health education.\u201d The images show the textbook quizzing children on the definition of homosexuality and asking them to explain a lie: \u201cWhy are the characteristics associated with each gender constantly changing?\u201d<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Secrecy seems to be a constant theme within the military\u2019s sexual education of children. The report notes previous investigations showing DODEA staff and teachers recommending the Schoology app \u201cto facilitate secret chatrooms around sexuality and gender topics, outside of the eyes of parents.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The sentiment was echoed in a presentation given to DODEA teachers in 2021 in which a middle school teacher said, according to the report, that she uses LGBT books to introduce children to queer sex topics: \u201cusing diverse and inclusive books in your classroom and school libraries; this is a huge one for me as a as a [sic] language arts teacher. \u2026 I wish I was at school now because I have a massive classroom library and I have a ton of books that have main characters who are everywhere on the [gender and sexuality] spectrum and off the spectrum.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In a chat at that conference, DODEA employee Mari Jones claimed treating heterosexuality as normal causes conflict. As I also explain in <em>False Flag<\/em>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-u-s-military-hides-push-for-trans-surgery-on-soldiers-kids\/\" title=\"Report: U.S. Military Hides Push For Trans Surgery On Soldiers&#039; Kids\">queer ideologues\u2019 publicly stated goal<\/a> of \u201cending heteronormativity\u201d requires recruiting children into queer sexuality. That\u2019s because if something is the norm, it is the majority practice. Ending heterosexuality as the majority practice requires recruiting children into non-heterosexual practices. <\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>Jones appears to be still employed by DODEA, according to a U.S. military staff <a href=\"https:\/\/sites.google.com\/student.dodea.edu\/paceast-pl-library\/iss-contact-page\">directory <\/a>listing her with a .gov email address as part of Pacific Region ISS Support.<\/p>\n<div>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n<p>\u201cThe men and women serving the United States abroad often have no choice but to send their children to DoDEA schools \u2014 unlike counterparts at the Department of State stationed on the same bases, soldiers do not get stipends for homeschooling or to send their kids to local private schools,\u201d the report notes. \u201cDoDEA has proven to be an untrustworthy steward of these children\u2019s minds, and agency leadership has gone out of their way to hide practices administrators must know the public and military families find objectionable.\u201d<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Joy Pullmann is executive editor of The Federalist.
